Career Objective: To transition from Self employment in the printing world
to employment in the non-profit sector that serves to build community and
build up individuals while helping them develop their human potential.
Experience & Accomplishments:
Guiding Academic Motivation for Excellence Co-founder & Program Developer.
Developed and implemented youth academic motivation program in 10 community
centers in Seattle.
Sword - Self-employed as print broker and salesman.
King County Superior Court - Truancy workshop coordinator. Sheduled
workshops for truant youth. Worked with 18 school districts in King County
to help resolve truancy issues. Created and maintained data bases.
Celebration Community Church - Founder and Senior Pastor As a pastor I
have worked with families, schools, local government, churches and other
community organizations to address both the spiritual needs and the natural
needs of families in the Seattle and Renton community.
Matt Talbot Outreach Center - Case Management Intern. For nearly two years
I worked with the director and case managers in providing out-patient
treatment for drug and alcohol abusers.
King County Juvenile Detention Center - Chaplain to Youth. Provided weekly
bible study and one on one discussions with youth.
Employment History:
2007-2010: Guiding Academic Motivation for Excellence - Serves as Program
Developer / Administrator. Responsible to develop programming and to help
secure funding. Also served in administrative capacity. Responsible to
maintain records, database and client information.
2001-2009: Sword Publishing -- For the past 8 years to the current time I
have been self employed as owner and operator of a print brokering and
delivery company including 6 years as one of two sales agents for downtown
commercial printing company. Responsible to generate own sales leads,
maintain database of work preformed. Responsibilities included meeting with
customers, confirming specifications for work orders, generating invoices
and delivering final product.
2006-2007: King County Court - Worked part time for a year and a half as
the Truancy workshop coordinator.
1989-2001: U.S. Government Printing Office - 12 years as a Printing
Equipment Repairer/Operator. Maintained and operated offset printing
equipment and bindery equipment. Transitioned to the front office as a
administrative clerk where duties included writing and processing purchase
orders, maintaining customer and vendor database and working directly with
vendors and customer agencies.
1976-1988: AM Multigraphics - 13 years as a Customer Service
Representative. Responsible to service and repair printing equipment on
site in various Western Washington locations.
