Consultant
• Lead the Adult Ministries Team as a contracted church consultant overseeing the areas of Small Groups,
Sunday School, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Discovery/Membership Class and Celebrate Recovery.
• Implemented a new small group strategy in the spring of 2010 that grew the small group participation to
over 1,350 adults.
• Taught at the weekend services and served as the back-up communicator to the Senior Pastor who was
battling cancer.
• Created a new 2-week “Discovery Class” for the church that produced over 40 new members and 16
decisions to follow Christ in baptism in the spring of 2010.
2004-2009 North Point Ministries (over 23,000 in worship) Alpharetta, GA
Lead Pastor/ Church Planter – Cumberland Church (Franklin, TN)
• Invited by North Point Ministries (Alpharetta, GA) to move back to Nashville, TN to start a new
church as a Strategic Partner in summer of 2006.
• Launched Cumberland Church in February 2007 with 352 people in attendance.
• Grew the church to an annual budget of over $750,000, a staff of 8 employees and connected
367 adults into a community group by the spring of 2009.
• Led the fundraising effort to secure over $800,000 in one-time/special gifts, which were above
regular tithes and offerings, in my four years at Cumberland.
• Created a weekly men’s 6 a.m. bible study that had over 120 men participating.
• Implemented a small group strategy and structure that had over 367 unique adults connected into
a small group. In comparison to our average weekend adult attendance, that number represented 114%
adult small group participation.
Lead Pastor/Church Planter – Watermarke Church (Canton, GA)
• Moved to Canton, Georgia in January 2004 knowing no one and with no local support to start a
new church.
• Fundraised over $450,000 from supporters and supporting churches to cover 3- year start-up
costs.
• Created a Launch Team of 25 adults to start Watermarke Church.
• Launched church in October 2004 with 425 people in attendance.
• Joined North Point Ministries (Alpharetta, GA) as a Strategic Partner using new and highly
innovative methods (video teaching, 252 Basics and foyer-to-kitchen model) to grow the church.
• Grew attendance each year with the highlight of Easter 2006 that saw over 920 people on
campus. Average weekly attendance reached a high of 630 in April 2006.
2001-2004 Southeast Christian Church (over 18,000 in worship) Louisville, KY
Young Adults Minister
• Organized events and created a leadership/ministry structure for the 1,400 single adults (22-40
yrs old).
• Taught and led the largest Sunday School class at Southeast with over 300 people.
• Created a weekly Young Adults worship service called “Solomon’s Porch”, where I also served as
a regular teacher.
• Worked as a member of the Southeast Discipleship Team to help lead the change from a mid-
week worship service to a new mid-week bible study/discipleship program called “Building U”. Building U
launched in the fall of 2003 with over 6,000 participants.
• Sent out by Southeast Christian Church as a missionary to start a new church in Canton, Georgia.
1999-2001 Bellevue Community Church (over 3,000 in worship) Nashville, TN

• Started the Singles Ministry at this growing church plant as an unpaid volunteer (working at Deutsche).
• Created a weekly worship service called “Connection Point” that grew to over 275+ in average
