Provided leadership with full P &L responsibility for the 700+ employee,
$100M Sales division of North America's second largest commercial printing
company - This division produces long run national and targeted magazines
as well as retail newspaper inserts and direct mail catalogs for high
profile customers. World Color is a worldwide company with over 20,000
employees.
. Lead a $50M retooling and expansion which included the installation of
four new presses and eight additional binding lines as well as the
associated support and environmental equipment.
. Established World Color Corinth as an industry leading organization in
terms of quality, service and breadth of capabilities.
. Increased division EBITDA by greater than 50% with 2010 forecast to
exceed 2009 by more than 500%.
. Reduced overall division unit cost by more than 20% while becoming the

the long run newspaper insert and catalog marketplaces.
. By use of a variety of continuous improvement tools Bindery throughput
improved by 47% and unit cost was reduced by 17%. We achieved
recognition as the most efficient catalog Bindery in the company. All
production lines were ranked amongst the very best companywide.
. The employee work schedule was modified allowing 24/7 operation
utilizing an 8 hour shift arrangement with a minimum of overtime
expense.
. Bindery manufacturing capacity was doubled through the installation of
three more efficient lines and productivity gains; this additional
capacity was achieved without an increase in the permanent work force.
. Through a redesigned facility product flow the Material Handling work
force was downsized and Material Handling unit cost reduced by 25%.
