08/09-03/10 Tiger Honda- General Manager
I returned home to West Monroe, Louisiana to assist in opening a new Honda
point in the position of General Sales Manager. I was moved into the
position of General Manager due to an unexpected vacancy after 60 days. My
responsibilities in the start up of this dealership were to put into place
all processes to make the dealership efficient and profitable. I was also
responsible for establishing relationships with lenders for our F & I dept
as well as coordinating with our DMS provider to program all forms and
contracts. I personally handled all used car inventory and managed a strict
60 day turn.
02/09-08/09 Giles Nissan Volvo Subaru- Used Car Manager
I relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana to increase profitability of a
satellite used car store. I was responsible for hiring personnel, buying
inventory, inventory control on a 60 day turn, advertising, handling
finance at my store and booking deals, appraising trades, assuring that all
trades and used car purchases were serviced properly through our dealership
service dept and any issues were handled to reduce future charge-backs, and
maintaining profitability generating positive net profit every month.
12/05 - 08/08 Freedom Motors - Used Car Manager
I accepted a job as General Manager of Freedom Motors of West Monroe, an
independent pre- owned vehicle store. I was responsible for inventory
control, finance and lender relations, supervision and hiring of the sales
force, advertising, selling of back end products, appraising trade in
vehicles, and of course gross profit.
08/04 - 12/05 Aeneas Williams Dealerships - F & I Director
I was asked to return to Aeneas Williams Auto Group to perform finance
duties for two of their stores. Working from one central office, I
performed the transactions for Aeneas Williams Honda and Aeneas Williams
Lincoln Mercury Chrysler. I successfully averaged $900-1200 per copy. In
July, 2005, I was promoted to GSM of Aeneas Williams Honda.
03/04 - 08/04 Hixson Autoplex of Monroe - F & I Manager
All duties associated with finance and booking deals. As finance manager of
Hixson Autoplex, I was responsible for 150-160 deals per month.
Responsibilities included disclosing payments, working a four square
system, training salespeople, and assuring that all contracts were cashed
in a timely manner to assure optimum cash flow.
11/03 - 03/04 Aeneas Williams Dealerships - General Sales
Manager
After a short time I was promoted to General Sales Manager of Aeneas
Williams Honda. I was responsible for all of the sales activities of the
dealership, including, but not limited to advertising, sales personnel,
ordering and purchasing new and used inventory, assuring timely processing
of paperwork and disclosures, pay plans, incentives, budgets, production
reports, sales logs and conducting sales meetings. I used my F and I
background to structure deals profitably for the dealership.
11/03 - 12/03 Aeneas Williams Dealerships - F & I Manager
As F and I Manager of Aeneas Williams Lincoln-Mercury- Chrysler and Aeneas
Williams Honda, I worked a variety of prime and subprime lenders including
Bank One, Hibernia, FMCC, Chrysler, Wells Fargo, Capital One, Honda
American Finance, Crescent, Bank One Subprime, Auto One, and many more. I
was responsible for all paperwork needed for funding and titling,
protecting the dealership's interest, selling products such as Gap
insurance, Warranties, credit life and disability, and earning dealer
reserve while keeping charge backs to a minimum. Deals were billed out and
turned in accurately and in a timely manner for processing.
01/02 - 11/ 03 Performance of West Monroe - Used Car Manager/
F&I Manager
As GM/F&I Manager of Performance of West Monroe, I was responsible for
inventory, advertising, finance, warranty and gap sales, and funding of all
contracts. I was also responsible for all documents required to satisfy
proper registration of vehicles sold, accounts payable and accounts
receivable, and record keeping, including warranty and Gap remittances.
This dealership specialized in Factory Program vehicles and offered
aggressive financing. As Sales Manager I was also a closer for my crew of 5
salesmen. We maintained inventory less than 45 days old. As an F&I manager,
I was responsible for insuring that all contract were cashed in a timely
manner. I structured deals to fit lender guidelines and worked as a closer
to earn back-end profits. We provided both Prime and Sub-prime financing. I
became familiar with all aspects of this dealership including keeping an
efficient floor plan, and maintaining fresh inventory.
12/ 00 - 01/01 Performance of Monroe - F&I / Sales
I was responsible for my own sales including financing. My agreement was as
a salesman to work my entire deals from beginning to the end of the whole
transaction.
05/99 - 11/00 Q-Cars of Monroe F& I / Used Car Manager
I began as a salesman and worked into F & I after realizing the need for
internal finance sources at this dealership. I established indirect lending
with Bank One, as well as several sub-prime lenders. I was responsible for
all advertising and inventory on our lot.
09/98 - 03/99 - Hixson Autoplex - Sales
I was trained as a salesman at Hixson Autoplex. I was one of the top five
salesmen every month from the first month that I was in sales. I worked in
trucks, cars, and used vehicles. At the time of my departure, I was Ford
and Hyundai certified.
