Objective
At age Forty Four I have two major goals that I am working towards. The first of these goals is to
continue to expand my knowledge in the field of telecommunications, thereby increasing my value to the
company. My second goal is to provide a secure future for my family and our retirement.
Qualifications
My extensive training and experience began with 6 years in the United States Navy as an Electronic
Technician. I have continued both my education and job experience for an additional 20 years. The first
14 years focused in the area of electronics through training with several companies. The last twelve years
I have advanced my training through my employment with Tellabs Operations, Inc.; 8 1/2 years as a Field
Engineer and 3 1/2 years as a Sr. Network Engineer in the NAT group.
I achieved my CCNA in 2008 and my CCNP in June 2010. I’m currently working on my CCNA voice.

November 2006-Present
Sr. Network Engineer – The past 3 1/2 years I’ve been testing & turning up customer 7100 fiber optic
networks, trouble shooting problems, writing MOPs for inserting new nodes into fiber optic rings.
Several performance awards through Tellabs.
July 1998 – November 2006
Sr. Field Engineer (FSE 3) – For 8 1/2 years I was employed by Tellabs Operations, Inc. as a field
engineer located in Southern Minnesota. I work with Tellabs digital/optical cross connect systems, Tellabs
echo canceling & voice enhancement systems, optical transport & multiplexing and Tellabs voice over
cable systems.

troubleshooting. We were also asked to provide technical assistance, analyzing and resolving problems in
