While at Sam's Club I assumed the role as a Business Analyst and the
Project Manager on an executive team reporting directly to Sam's Club
Director of Operations and VP of Operations. Decision maker for all Human
Resource projects that impact Sam's Club locations in the United States,
Canada and Puerto Rico. Provide support for successfully implementing
projects using a defined project management process.
Project Rollout Summary:
1. While working as an engineer in ISD rolled out several server updates
to Exchange servers across the country.
2. Manager of all disaster recovery projects.
3. Managed a team of developers and testers while rolling out to all Sam's
Clubs an updated Scheduling system. This large scale project was in pilot
mode for several months before going live to select clubs. Conference
calls were held with our "super user" groups to receive feedback, make
suggested changes and then roll out again for more testing. After months
of testing the project was rolled out to Sam's and WM locations across the
US.
4. Managed a large project to adhere to laws and regulations of specific
states to allow for breaks during your work schedule. This project was
critical to our bottom line dollar at each store since fines were involved
when associates where not taking meals and breaks at scheduled times
causing issues. Once this project was rolled out billions of dollars were
accumulated for the ROI.
5. Rolled out a large scale project to help save time and money when an
associate wants to request time off from work. This automated time off
request became a total paperless request. Now the associate can request
time off utilizing the on-line request form project again saving time,
money and billions of dollars.
Work with customers, vendors, suppliers, stakeholders and upper level
management to ensure accurate analysis and business developments for all
technical human resource projects. Other key areas of responsibilities

While as an Assistant Manager, managed the areas of expanded foods, fabrics
and crafts, automotives, electronics, hardware and sporting goods. Worked
with associates to provide mentoring and leadership which involved
facilitating meetings, creating SWAS books to track successes and events,
daily one on one department tours and evaluations. Scheduled and evaluated
associates while assisting with career opportunities and knowledge based
information for development. My team and I worked together to provide the
best in stock, accurately priced and in date merchandise to our customers.
While managing the Risk Control Team assisted with fund raisers and
team/store events to help control and eliminate the cost of accidents.
Lead our store to over 200+ days of accident free. Ultimately, was able
to develop a log and tracking procedure to eliminate theft and shrinkage to
electronic high ticket items as they were delivered to the store and
unloaded. This financially assisted our store in completing the year
within company requirements and guidelines with minimal loss and therefore
was able to reward our associates with a yearend bonus.
Also while Operational Front End manager was able to develop procedures
that helped us maintain a consistent, standard way to track our equipment:
registers, telxons, register belts and optical scanners to ensure 100 up
time with no interruption to our customers. And helped ultimately help
keep the lines short with a max of 4 customers per line therefore helping
provide an exceptional customer experience.
The AM program was great! I was able to see the technology initiatives from
the prospective of the store associate/customer level and it really helped
understand the roadblocks and areas of opportunities.
ISD Management Associate
Managed various projects including messaging and workflow applications, fax
server, system migration and other related projects. Monitor and support
over 87 Exchange mailbox servers, with over 1 million users.
Project Lead on all Disaster Recoveries for Exchange mailboxes and public
folders via Veritas. Worked with vendors and supplies to research and
complete product development to maintain the most efficient and accurate
recovery systems. In the past year have completed over 200 mailbox and
public folder restores with 0 percent error. Also assist with recovering
data for investigative requests: work closely with upper management to
maintain confidentiality.
Daily monitor Mailbox/Public Folder Server's event logs: application and
system, performance monitors and NetIQ alerts to ensure 24X7 uptime on all
Exchange Servers and Fax Servers globally. On scheduled basis complete
Service Pack and hot fix updates to the Mailbox servers for the entire
Enterprise Messaging Infrastructure globally. By using Exchange
Administrator continuously update mailboxes, distribution lists and other
exchange fields to aid in customer support. Plan and monitor server's CPU
processing and hard disk capabilities to better ensure available resources.
Also assist in eliminating single points of failure by providing plans for
Mailbox and fax server redundancy. Consistently utilize Microsoft's
utilities to complete trouble shooting, problem resolution, and provide a
better way of completing select tasks. Utilize Server and User Manager to
assist with NT account issues: account setup, password or group updates.
Participate in the on call rotation every 4 weeks to help provide 24X7
coverage.
Lead Engineer for the architecture and development of the Wireless
Messaging Infrastructure for the Win 2000 Servers and 957/G100 Rim devices.
Technical lead for managing and supporting the single and clustered
servers. Also responsible for all maintenance changes or updates. Work
with vendors to provide proactive measures and guidelines to ensure more
reliable and highly available systems.
Lead Technical Engineer for faxing solutions for Domestic and International
locations. Provide faxing capabilities via fax servers, gateways, and the
Outlook client. While supporting over 13 fax servers domestic and
internationally, working to ensure a stable and transparent faxing
environment for the customer by maintaining the servers with the latest
application enhancements and dedicated support. Project Lead on helping
multiple customers migrate to a paperless faxing environment. By rolling
out FaxSr to multiple customers at various locations within Wal-Mart:
Stores, Clubs, Home Office and International help eliminate cost and
provide a payback for future days to come. Also aids in the CIO request of
"automating ALL". Faxing to Public Folders is a dynamic way of managing
incoming and outgoing faxes. By building the fax servers from the ground
