done I am the man they can count on. I do all the cnc programming using
Master cam X4 soft ware, I do reverse engineering, I design all the fixtures
and advise for all complex setups.
I am certified on HASS control panels for vertical cnc machining centers, I
step out from behind the computer screen from time to time to help out

I do all of the CNC programming here, we are currently working on the
Spallation neutron source and the Mercury target module for Oak Ridge
National Laboratory. Geometric dimensioning and tollorancing is used on
these projects, I oversee most all of the setups on the CNC mills. I also
work closely with the machinists in the shop to make sure the machining
process is done correctly and efficiently. With the combined efforts of my
CNC department and the machining department working in harmony, we
turn out great work first time on time.
I use Mastercam X3 cad-cam software here.
Wright Industries 707 Spence Ln. Nashville Tn. 37214 From: 07/1999
To 01/05/2009
Duties included but were not limited to:
providing complex 2D and 3D CNC programs in support of the tool and die
division.
the machinery I programmed for was a Mori-Seiki V80 vertical machining
center, a retrofitted SNK vertical mill and a Haas VF3 vertical mill.
typically I would receive a print from our design group and it would include
a process planing sheet that would include rough stock size and any heat
treating that would be necessary. I would in turn use Pro/e wildfire 2.0
software to create the CNC programs needed to machine the detail as fast
and efficient as possible utilizing the cutting tools at hand. I would go out to
the machines when ever I deemed it necessary to get input from the
machinist to get a second opinion on how I intended to run the detail,
sometimes the machinist can give input to help the job go faster and that is
the name of the game! sometimes two heads are better that one.
I would also create any setup and tooling information the machinist needed
to get the detail up and running.
I would also program for the manufacturing side of our company when
things were slow in the tool and die division.
the machinery I programmed for in manufacturing was a Toshiba Gantry
vertical / horizontal mill, Giddings and Lewis horizontal boring mills and
Mazak mills and numerous smaller vertical CNC machining centers.
I programmed with Pro/e from 1999 to 2006 then we all ( tool & die and
manufacturing ) went to surfcam and Mastercam X3 so we could all work
on each others programs. I specialize in the more complexe 3D
programming. I have done 3 and 4 axis programming.

from 1991 to 1994 I programmed and run the mills after that we hired
enough operators so I could concentrate entirely on programming and
overseeing the machining process.
