A global consumer products company engaged in the designing, manufacturing and

marketing of a diverse portfolio of consumer brand products with sales in excess of

$2.3 billion.

Director of Operations/Supply Chain, Columbus, IN

Manages and directs daily operations, new product development, supply chain

responsibilities including purchasing, product flow, warehousing and landed cost

pricing of $140 million dollars of consumer goods from Asia on an annual basis.

P&L responsibilities, $45 million.

* Analyzed, implemented and corrected product landed cost pricing data base errors;

85% pricing errors on roughly 1,200 SKUs.

* Established new daily and monthly emulsion plant record for gallons manufactured

and filled, 122,000 and 2.36 million, respectively.

* Increased oil base production by 15%.

* Increased off the mill inspection specification (i.e., quality): Emulsion by 24%

in a seventeen-month period; oil base by 37% in a ten-month period.

* Oil base facility designated as Plant of the Year for quality and housekeeping

A global supplier in the design, manufacture and integration of complex

Compaq Program Manager, North America, Erie, PA 1999-2000

Planned, authored, implemented and managed the transfer of $30 million dollars of

just-in-time sheet metal enclosure assembly and manufacturing operations to four

sister companies (NY, NH, TX, CA).

* The unsolicited transition plans were developed and adopted by corporate without

change. Two were completed within 45 days and two within 180 days.

* Maintained a 98% just-in-time delivery rate during the transition period.

* The transition efforts were virtually transparent to the just-in-time customer.

Manager Manufacturing Services, Erie, PA 1998-2000

Managed and directed manufacturing, production control, multi-site (PA, NH, TX, and

CA) inventory control and procurement efforts of a $36 million dollar sheet metal

fabrication facility employing 250 (union) personnel. Implemented lean

manufacturing and 5S organizational methods.

* Maintained a 95% delivery rate on just-in-time shipments valued at $30

million dollars annually.

* Reduced backlog by 87% (i.e. $1.3 million) or 13,000 man-hours over an eight

month period by creating surge capacity including but not limited to a

Prototype/QRC low density cell, strategic outsourcing, run size reduction and

changes in manpower scheduling and utilization.

* Achieved a $500,000 cost reduction savings on raw materials and parts.

* Reduced freight shipment charges by 25% and increased inventory accuracy by 40%.

* Facility received Compaq s Supplier of the Year Award, one of ten awards

presented annually.
