- Cut Workers Compensation incidents in each year with the
organization. Identified problem areas in the reporting of Workers
Compensation.
- Trained Managers on HR issues including legal aspects, litigation
avoidance, utilizing emotional intelligence more effectively, and
Union-avoidance.
- Full planning and control of HR budget for Facility. Utilization of
Corporate HR budget. Reconciliation of Corporate HR budget for CFO
while HR Director was on LOA.
- Negotiate salary and employment terms for Management staff.
- Conducted Benchmarking for VP of Operations and CFO on HR related
issues including staff needs now and analysis of future needs based on
projected forecast.

Office Depot, Weston, FL (resigned only due to need to relocate due to
hurricane)
- Management of all employee relations and labor related matters such as
unemployment issues, benefits administration, investigations,
terminations, recruitment, hiring process, ADA issues, FMLA, STD, and
LTD.
- Identified problem areas in the reporting of Workers Compensation and
implemented changes resulting in a $10,000 savings to our facility's
P&L statement.
- Management training resulted in a decrease in grievances between
management and workforce, reduced threats of legal actions by almost
85%.
- Analyzed, identified, developed, and implemented new Recruiting and
Hiring Policy that streamlined our selection process. This resulted in
reducing the processing time to half of the original time, attracting
and hiring of more qualified candidates, and reduced Managers
interviewing time by 8 hours each week.
- Monitored, evaluated, and reported on the implementation of the night
premium pay incentive. Resulted in the retention of the program based
on the results of a $35,000 savings, per year, over the previous
method.
- Exclusively managed all HR functions for 320+ employees at Office
Depot including two remote facilities.
