. Responsible for designing, updating, approving, and reviewing every in-
house form. Designed and implemented system to control use and

. Determined need for a quality informational product booklet for
customers. Coordinated information from many departments such as
quality assurance, production, sales and management. Produced

. Recognized need for employee handbook documenting personnel and safety
policies in keeping with current employment law. Researched and
organized topics to be addressed in handbook which allowed me to
author handbook. The company president, followed by an employment law
attorney, approved final draft. Published first handbook in company's
history and secured a more consistent application of policy.
. Recognized a need to certify any employee who may operate mobile
equipment. Researched basic forklift standard operating procedures as
defined by OSHA. Met with the Vice President of Operations to more
specifically apply procedures to the production facility. Implemented a
program wherein operators of mobile equipment were required to become
certified before authorized to operate equipment. All employees
participated in an obstacle course every six months as well as a written
test upon initial certification.
. Developed the opportunity for educators and private enterprise to open
communications and gain better understanding of student skill
expectations upon graduation. Coordinated a program with the local
public school system to allow educators to spend time with local
business and meet with various departments within the business. The
experience allowed educators to re-evaluate their lesson plans and in
many instances alter their lesson plans to accommodate the skills they
identified as "required" in the real world.

. Researched the benefits and administrative requirements of implementing a
Flex 125 Program. Identified a company that would develop the necessary
Summary Plan and the 5500C tax form. Implementation of the Flex 125 Plan
allowed employees' insurance deductions to be tax-free. In turn, the
total gross wages were adjusted resulting in a FICA savings for the
company.
. Took responsibility to be more closely involved in the case management
of workers compensation cases. Developed a working relationship with
the workers compensation insurance carrier and sought ways in which
the employee and the company would benefit. Allowed to work directly
with employees in the case of rehabilitation exercises and contact
with physicians to coordinate the best conditions available to return
the employee to work without hindering recovery. This involvement in
case management often times reduced the workers compensation case
expense.
. Upon renewal, researched market availability of each type of insurance
to seek the one best suited for the needs of the company, yet
economical. Collected various options, developed reports and
recommendations to the president of the company for discussion. As a
result of the information made available for review, proceeded in
finalizing all renewal plans for each type of insurance.
. Worked directly with all plant supervisors daily on HR issues and
conducted nearly all employee meetings e.g. introduce new employee
benefits, training. Developed a good working relationship with all
employees.
