mediated cross coupling chemistry, acetylenes, and heterocycles, and
exposure to organometallic chemistry, nanoparticles, conducting
polymers, and NLO
. Versatile synthetic skills: classical organic synthesis; multi-step
organic synthesis; palladium, copper, tin and lithium organometallic
chemistry; schlenk line; TLC, column, flash, and rotary chromatography,
acetylenic chemistry and heterocycles (e.g. thiophenes)
. Comprehensive analytical chemical skill set including: NMR (1 and 2D),
IR, LC-MS, optical spectroscopy (UV-Vis and emission),
electrochemistry, and DSC
. Exemplary publishing record including three first author papers, an
invited review, and three ACS publications
. Four years of TA experience, 2 years of undergraduate mentoring, almost
10 years of tutoring experience, and 1 year of supplemental instruction
. Experience in biotech techniques: Preparation of DNA for microarray
printing, PCR, gel electrophoresis, RNA purification, cell culture
