JOB EXPERIENCE:

• Worked in St. Francis Hospital, TN as Billing Manager, Accounts Manager and

website Developer for a year. About a year experience in Client/Server programming

using Visual Basic 6.0/Oracle/SQL Server with Good understanding of RDBMS

concepts particularly in SQL Server and Oracle.

• Worked in Apollo Hospital for a Year as an Accounting Analyst in India.

• Worked as a software programmer in Vidyarthi Computers, INDIA for more than a year.

• Generated Payroll for about 15 Employees with entry of Time Sheets. Worked with

• Generated Bi weekly, Monthly Reports for a $3 M i llion Dollar Organization as per

B usiness Requirements.

• Created Invoices, Receiving Payments, Updating proper Accounts, Calculated

Federal, State and Local Taxes, Electronic Tax payments, Quarterly and Year end

f ilings, W-2’s using QuickBooks .

• T he Hospital Information System (HIS) consists of modules that t rack processes

f rom a patient’s registration to the final discharge of the patient. Some of important

modules in this hospital were Registration, Front Office, and Case taking of the

patients, Lab, Discharge Summary, billing by entering the CPT and ICD codes,

Sending the claims to the Insurance company, checking the reimbursements and

working with the collections department etc. The system has two interfaces: a client-

server based application, and a web based client (Web Md).

• The web-based client provides its users with limited functionality. ECIS, or Electronic

Clinical Information System, is a computer solution that fully integrates a practice’s

clinical, fiscal and management information into one system. This Technology access the

patient’s data with portable wireless pen top computers. I worked with this ECIS system

which can access patient data across a comprehensive scheduling, Clinical encounter and

billing system integrated with insurance coding (ICD-9 and CPT) as well as

documentation and billing.

• Generated Billing reports based on user defined requirements which included session

times, duration by the user, resources consumed and applications executed with or

without application path names useful for making critical business solutions. Electronic

submission of the claims to various insurance companies in time decreasing the denial

rate and increasing the overhead saving for the hospital. Collected the lock box deposits

every week and analyzed the payments made by different insurance companies and

entered all the deposit information into accounting software used by the hospital.

ACADEMIC PROJECT PROFILE:

Project 1:

Designed a database for Metro International airport to help the passengers with flight details and

also organize flying crew details. With the help of database designed one can track flight status,

check the terminal and gate and also flying crew of the plane. Generated forms and reports from

designed Database by running SQL Queries. The application helps in tracking every single detail

of the flights like the flights operating in a particular period and all incoming and outgoing

flights. Developed SQL queries to validate the data in the reports. Validated the data

mapping/transformation using SQL. Used SQL extensively to verify data integrity and data

validation.

Title: Website Development

Developed a website for my project and for my company I worked for.

Project 4:

Title: Marginal Profit Analysis

Main aim of the project is to do marginal profit analysis in Methodist transplant Center and

decrease the Overhead cost on Liver Transplant for the Hospital, So that the Hospital Signs a

contract with our team who promises to decrease the cost of each transplant.

Project 5:

Title: Integrated Software Applications

The goal was to complete real world applications related to the Microsoft Office Suite of

products and demonstrate critical thinking skills while completing the projects. Analyze the real

world business problems and then applying appropriate media and strategy solutions and finally

determine the total problem solution based on the analysis of the task components.

Project 6:

Title: System Analysis and Design

The objective of this project is to analyze the current system in depth including the issues

affecting the current system. Feasibility Analysis of the project includes Organizational,

Technical and Finance in detail. Conversion is the technical process by which the new system is

implemented as a replacement for the old system. It is also the intent of the project team that a

publicity process be put in place with the deployment of the new solution. This process should

make all users aware of the issues associated with the old system and describe how the new

system will fix these problems.
