. Primarily assigned to providing heavy lift support to the Army

Movement Control Team (MCT) and the U.S. Air Force in the flight line

cargo processing facility on Joint Base Balad.

. On a daily basis, operates a variety of forklifts and RTCH type

vehicles to move containerized, palletized, and loose freight.

Responsible for safely downloading and uploading hundreds of pieces of

cargo and pallets daily from trucks and a variety of different types

of aircraft (IL-76, AN-12, DC-8, L-100, AN-124, etc).

. Receives and processes transportation movement requests (TMRs) from

customers and creates a daily work schedule that insures that the

balance of resources available is adequate for both the internal MCT

Air operations as well has handling the external TMR and unusual

circumstance operations.

. Works closely with MCT personnel to insure that all inbound and

transient cargo is separated and shipped out to the correct

destinations.

airplanes by identifying dangerous objects in baggage and on

passengers. Responsible for preventing those objects from being

transported onto aircraft by utilizing a variety of high-tech

unit, ETD trace explosive detection unit, and CTX equipment.
