February 2003 HLT Limited/Eagle Division
To September 2009 Homer, MI
Plant Manager/Supervisor
My job was to run the production side of the plant by
managing personnel and product. I had 40 employees with
eight departments to control. I did the hiring and
discharging of all employees. Training was left to me of all
the new and old employees. I also created Work Instructions
for each process and laid out the process flow for maximum
efficiency. I gave the supervisors the daily work schedules
that I planned every day. I was in charge of all the Quality
Control work to make sure the product was to company
standards when shipped to the customers. Scheduling the
shipping of the product was another part of my job as we
shipped our product all over the US. I would have to confirm
with customers about dates and do the necessary paper work.
I managed the Maintenance personal as well in the company so
if there was a problem I would have to solve the problems
and fix what ever needed fixing and maintain the maintenance
records. I would purchase any tooling, and parts needed to
perform the job. Another responsibility was inventory
control, tracking parts, amounts, and placement in the
plant, reorder points and usage. I have on a number of
occasions traveled to the customer's plants to represent the
company and product. The company was making a profit even in
today's economy but was merged with its parent company in
Iowa and closed down to do so.
September 2000 Alphi Manufacturing
To January 2003 Jonesville, MI
Dept. Cell leader/Maintenance
My responsibilities were, maintenance of all machines in the
department, scheduling when to run certain parts over the
machines at what times, and amounts to run in order to supply
customers demand, the quality of the parts, and who was to
run the machines. I ordered material and parts that where
needed to achieve this. I was involved in everything that
concerned my department. The department employees and I took
the department from a non-profitable to a profitable
department that in turn brought new customers to the company.
We also reduced scrap in the department from 23% to 2% which
was less than the company had set for their goals.
June 1996 Michigan Seat Company
To April 2000 Jackson, MI
Maintenance Supervisor
I was responsible for all aspects of the
Maintenance Department. My most recent contribution was to
reduce scrap on a Powder Paint Line from 17% to 5% by
redesigning the seals on a washer unit. I also ordered any
parts needed for machinery and building repairs. The company
went through a down sizing issue and I was laid-off.
July 1990 Michigan Industrial
To January 1996 Jackson, MI
Production Supervisor/Maintenance Supervisor
I was in charge of the Forge and Shear
Departments. After one year I was put in charge of two other
departments. I was also offered Q.C. Supervisor and the
position of Maintenance Supervisor. I was taken off the floor
and put in charge of computerizing the stockroom and setting
up a Preventative Maintenance Program. My Title was
Maintenance Coordinator / Manager at the time of the Plant
closing.
March 1979 Metalloy Corporation
To June 1990 Hudson, MI
Maintenance Millwright/Leadsman
During my eleven years with Metalloy I
was not a Supervisor but a Lead man for six years. My
responsibilities ranged over all aspects of my job. I was
responsible for the Preventative Maintenance of the machines
and building. I worked with out a Supervisor and had several
other Millwrights under my supervision.

I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity. I am at work every day
