. Hardware design for all products supplied by the Auburn Hills Systems
Division.
. All products were a PC control running some form of Windows controlling a
servo drive running a DC Electric Motor with Transducer and Resolver
feedback to tighten nuts and bolts to precise Torque, angle or yield.
. Products include 4 generation of Tork-Trak Controllers, Fastening and
Assembly Cart, 4 generations of system controllers and worked on the
corporate design team to come up with a common controller for all
Divisions.
. Worked directly with customers, sales and service on new requirements,
problems and implementation.
. Worked with and gave directions to the software development engineers to
implement additional features and resolve existing problems. Tested all
new software revision, released the revision when complete and made disk
images of the computers to make loading of new hardware more efficient.
. Designed assembly stations, test fixtures and set up procedures to
assemble as well as test all of the company's controllers.
. Represented the company in North America, Europe and also gave training
to our China counterparts
. Designed Circuit boards for the products and special features such as
remote down shift, rope wind and pulse torque recovery
. Directed manufacturing through the build and test of the products
assembled in the Auburn Hills plant.
. Assisted our field service department in troubleshoot and repairing
installed equipment to minimize down time for customers using our
equipment in their production process.
. Established and maintained all of the product drawings using ACAD.
. Built and de-bugged prototype designs.
. Worked on several different network communications, including Field Bus,
Ethernet Protocols and RF connectivity.
. Wrote software installation procedures for field service and customer
use.
