Design and construction of an 11ft tall M-class Arliss Rocket with an

outer diameter of 6.5 inches. Flies to 30k ft, breaks into 3 sections

and returns via parachutes. Coordination and integrated with a CubSat

Satellite and weather balloon designed for Mars landing into the

payload section. CAD design and finite element analysis using Pro

Engineer Wildfire 4.0.

- Arliss Comeback Competition: (3D Design, Researcher, Technical

Design and construction of a rocket which flies to 10k ft, jettisons a

glider which deploys inflatable wings and autonomously navigates

Research on NASA inflatable re-entry vehicle, 3d CAD drawing developed

in CATIA V5. Surface meshing with CATIA V5, and refined using CADFix.

Geometry imported into GridPro and 3d grid developed. Grid imported

into ESI Fastran for re-entry conditions and simulations run using

various altitudes and angles of attack, and velocities.

-Design of LabView Boundary Layer Program: (Programmer) Dr. Nikos

Development of a Labview VI program which would record pressure data

from a wind tunnel at SJSU, plotted a solution of both the laminar and

turbulent boundary layers over a flat plate, and compared to Blasius

solution. Program now integrated into Aerodynamics lab at SJSU.

Creation of LabView program to be used in Aerospace Structures Lab at

SJSU. Measures changes in voltage across a strip of wire on a

cantilever and converts into strain measurements on a graph once a

load is applied. Similar program made of a torsion experiment, and

wing lift distribution experiment.

-Hybrid Rocket Propelled Satellite: (CAD, Nozzle, and Propulsion

Design of a Hybrid rocket propulsion system for lunar satellite.

Research of Hybrid rocket systems, design and calculation of nozzle,

nitrous oxide and HTPB fuel tanks, coolant system and telemetry

in Satellite Tool Kit V9.

-Incursion Reconnaissance Drone: (Silent Propulsion Designer) Dr.

CAD Design using Pro E and construction of an indoors silent

reconnaissance drone. Assembly includes 45 parts. Aircraft design,

sound testing and modification of multiple engine system to determine

which would be optimal for an indoor S.W.A.T. stealth drone. Design

control system fully functional.

- Airfoil Manufacturing Equipment: (Designer and Fabrication) Dr. Nikos

Fabrication of a hot wire bow which uses an electric current to cut

foam into rectangular wings using wooden airfoil templates. Wrote the

instruction manual for the bow for proper fiber glassing techniques.
