North American Manufacturing Manager (2001 - 2006) Greensboro,
NC
Direct management of three NA plants. Global support for plant
construction and expansion utilizing the NA Powder Engineering group and
Corporate Engineering resources.
o Optimization of processing lines that has reduced non conformance
by 55%, increase material yields by 3% and reduced cost per unit by
40% over the 5 year period.
o Development of policies and scheduling systems that cut lead times
in half and eliminated outside warehousing costs, while increasing
inventory turns by a factor of four.
o Implementation of Ergonomic Improvements and Behavioral Based
Safety programs which resulted in three-fold reduction in incident
rates. Obtained record positive "benchmark" scores from Corporate
EHS audits.
o Design and commercialization of a small batch, rapid response cell
