EDUCATION:
BSEE - UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI, CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA
PROFESSIONAL LICENSES:
Registered Professional Engineer State of South Carolina
State of

SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES:
Power
While working as relay engineer performed tests on protective relaying
and related control equipment for major utility and industrial
applications. Provided technical assistance, guidance and training to
field engineers and technicians. Developed maintenance and test
procedures for relay and control equipment including equipment installed
in nuclear power plants. Experience included the installation and testing
of substation and transmission up to and including 500 KV.
Fibers
As an electrical design engineer assisted in the design of projects for
Dupont nylon fiber facilities. On numerous projects I acted as lead
electrical engineer supervising engineers and designers. As lead
electrical engineer designed electrical distribution systems from medium
voltage down to low voltage facilities including the addition of a 19 MW
turbine generator to a fiber manufacturing facility.
Chemical
Lead electrical engineer on ethanol and biodiesel manufacturing
facilities. Duties included design of electrical distribution system from
medium voltage down to 120 V electrical equipment. Created motor control
schematics and instrument electrical schematics. Responsibilities
included supervising the design of instrument and control equipment for
biodiesel manufacturing plant.
SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
I have performed as an electrical engineer with significant experience in
electrical design and testing. I have been able to transition between
field and home office easily changing the focus from testing to design
and have moved into lead positions rapidly after moving. My experience
has been gained both while working with a utility and a design
engineering firm. Areas of experience are in electrical distribution,
protective relaying, and control.
SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE:
L0UISIANA ENERGY SERVICES (AUGUST 2009 TO PRESENT
ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Responsible for reviewing design, providing design changes and
providing new design of electrical systems for the National Enrichment
Facility in Eunice, New Mexico a nuclear fuel enrichment site.
FLUOR - GREENVILLE, SC (OCTOBER, 2007 TO MAY,2009)
PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
Responsibilities included providing electrical design documents such as
specifications, grounding, lighting, power, motor control and electrical
classification drawings for major Polysilicon project in Jiangxi
Province, in the Peoples Republic of China.
While working on another project I provided planning and guidance to
contractors for the design and construction of administration and office
complex for large refinery and power plant facility in the Middle East.
Helped design the power distribution system and aided in determining
boundaries for contractors and requirements to meet clients' needs in
timely and economical fashion.
FAGEN ENGINEERING, LLC (2005 TO 2007)
LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Responsible for the design of electrical distribution system for 100
million gallon ethanol and 40 million gallon biodiesel manufacturing
facilities. Provided medium voltage through low voltage design for entire
facility including motor controls and electrical interfaces with plant
instrumentation.
SELF EMPLOYED (1996-2005)
Operated a consulting and design engineering service providing
electrical design and consulting
services for commercial, government and small industrial
facilities.
FLUOR - GREENVILLE, SC (1987-1996)
ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Design engineer performing electrical distribution system design for
Dupont fiber facilities. Acted as lead engineer on a number of projects
supervising 24 engineers and designers at one time. Areas covered
included medium voltage systems, low voltage distribution, motor control
and other control systems. Acted as lead engineer in addition of 19 MW
turbine generator at one plant.
TECHNICAL SERVICE LABORATORY (A DIVISION OF FLUOR) (1986-1987)
MANAGER OF ELECTRICAL TESTING
Acted as manager of electrical testing for an organization that performed
electrical testing of industrial, commercial and municipal facilities.

breakers and transformers.
FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY (1970 - 1986)
PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
As a relay engineer performed testing and commissioning of utility
substations, up to and including 500KV substations. Testing and
commissioning included projects that were conventional oil, gas and
nuclear generator plants. Responsibilities included testing of related
power and control equipment as well as equipment monitoring equipment. In
staff position assisted in evaluation of power system faults and problems
for the entire FPL power system. Acted as troubleshooter for incorrect
operation of equipment throughout the system. Provided guidance and
training for Protective Relaying Department at the company. Developed
first computerized maintenance scheduling program for department. Wrote
and administered Quality Assurance Program for Nuclear Power Plants for
the Protective Relaying Department.
