Elizabeth, NJ) Caribbean operating company. Increased business
levels by over 2000%. Cross-functional responsibilities

Reorganization - Recruited to reorganize existing NEMF operation.
Operations - Hired and managed new office staff and new warehouse-delivery
agent. Established streamlined tax payment system for Puerto Rico excise
taxes.
Marketing and Sales Development - Direct management and recruitment of a
new team of sales professionals. Established sales incentive programs.
Agency Relationships - Managed warehouse, steamship line, and delivery
agent relationships.
Finance - Responsible for all banking, accounts payable, invoicing and
collections.
Pricing - Established appropriate pricing models to gain market share at
profitable levels.
Point of Sale Material - Worked with advertising agency and marketing
personnel to develop appropriate point of sale material.
Steamship and Carrier Negotiations - Negotiated rates and service contracts
with steamship lines, warehouse operators and delivery agents.
Sales Training - Conducted sales training and education with stateside
sales force. Extensive travel throughout New England conducting joint
sales calls with large existing and prospective customers.
Marketing - Organized tradeshows and large scale customer entertainments.
Local Regulatory Compliance - Insured NEMF was compliant with local labor
and tax law in Puerto Rico.
