Experience 6/02 - 2/10 Amerimax Building Products, Inc. Helena, AR

Regional Operations Manager (GM) - Coating Lines

Promoted in late 2008 to a position that is responsible for 2 coil coating

faclities located in Helena, AR and Anaheim, CA with combined sales of $50

million in 2009.

Reduced the TCIR at both facilities to a combined 2.33 (659% improvement

over 2008).

Improved customer complaint percentage at Anaheim by 21% and by 22% at

Helena in 2009.

Initiated lay-off's to "right-size" labor force to match lower sales volume

that resulted in an average 14.5% decrease in variable labor dollars.

Led a team that lowered the inventory value of an input by 79.6% (from

$1,321,431 to $269,331) in 2009.

Guided both facilities to complete all of their scheduled Lean Six Sigma

projects (6) on-time.

Coordinated with Helena's staff and Division LSS Black Belt to implement

employee suggestion board that served as the template for other plants in

the division.

Worked closely with Sales in the development of Helena's 2 largest new

customers in 2009 which brought in $862k in revenue, and increased Anaheim's

Plant Manager

5 years of full responsibility for all functions, personnel, and equipment

in a 125,000 sq. ft., non-union production facility that did $79 million in

sales in 2008.

Increased EBITDA performance by 65% on an average during tenure as Plant

Manger on an average gross margin of 6% during the same time period.

Reduced customer complaints by 28% while sales jumped to a maximum of $110

million in 2006.

Hired 4 staff positions, Production/Operations Manager, Quality Assurance

Manager, Material Scheduler and Customer Service Representative, and started

a succession development plan for all.

Maintained costs, on a per unit produced basis, year-over-year as throughput

fluctuated.

Oversaw and provided costing on all sales inquiries for external business to

determine whether or not to quote based upon facility capabilities,

capacity, and profitability.

Eliminated Safety & Environmental Manager position and contracted with an

improvement projects that ranged from $20,000 to $250,000.

Cut work-in-process inventory in the plant by $1,000,000 by utilizing lean
