had never, in the history of the company, been achieved so rapidly

I was one of six men tested and awarded entry into this pilot position to
utilize industrial robots to operate not only the die cast machine, but
also the trimming operation. This allowed improvement in casting
consistency and increased employee utilization efficiency
Once familiar with this new configuration, I re-wrote the majority of the
programs for the robots which reduced the number of blocks required, hence
freeing memory space
