Establish and insure compliance to ISO procedures and
standards.
Plan and implement engineering changes.
Investigate alternatives to improve existing processes.
Confer with product engineers during design stage on
manufacturability of stampings.
Specify part measurement process and quality plans, Analyze
capability studies and recommend dimensional tolerances for
sheet metal parts.
Estimate the cost of labor, materials, expenses, and
equipment for proposed projects.
Design, modify and purchase prototype tools.
Coordinate with outside contractors on the design, build, and
modification of tooling.
Prepare investment request for the purchase of metal stamping
dies, molds, jigs, fixtures and related equipment.
Procurer, tryout and approve new and revised metal stamping
dies, molds, jigs, fixtures and related equipment.
Update or do initial die drawings on Auto Cad and maintain
BOMs.
