Experience 1985-Present Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. of New York
Payroll Manager
Management of a multi-state weekly and bi-weekly
payroll totaling $2.5 million for 9 facilities in
the New York and New Jersey areas.
Act as a systems administrator for combined Human
Resources and Payroll System.
Act as a liaison between Finance, Human Resources,
executives, auditors and outside vendors.
Monitor all payroll tax liabilities, wire transfers
for direct deposit, bonds, 401K, union reports,
DRO, garnishees, Compensation, Disability,
attendance, pension, medical, seniority list, all
maintenance for new and existing employees,
quarterly reports.
Process W-2's
Update yearly necessary changes i.e.: Federal,
State, Local taxes, SDI, SUI, Workers Comp
Supervise a department team of 4.Coordinate 2
bi-weekly payrolls and 3 weekly payrolls for 3
companies totaling 2,500 employees.
Monitor all daily tasks to assure accuracy.
Insure all reports are completed on a timely basis
and all required deadlines are being met.
Meet with staff on a weekly basis to discuss
upcoming payroll issues or changes.
Alert all executives of any upcoming changes.
Update all yearly increases for both union and
non-union employees.
Implement goals and incentives for the department's
bonus.
Insure that the department follows all 7 union
contracts (vacation, sick, rates etc.)
Prepare all necessary information to file quarterly
taxes.
Accomplishments
Allocated 5 months to organize and implement a new
payroll system using Harris software.
Identified programming errors in new Payroll System,
directed and oversaw corrections.
Coordinated entire department move to a new
Headquarters, oversaw all Payroll related issues.
Implemented training course for payroll staff.
Assisted in the implementation of a time and
attendance program.
