Formulated organic molecules (which are not commercially available) for
medical research and synthesized portions of damaged DNA for
environmental impact studies. Projects were entirely self-regulated, and
included thorough E-Notebook data analysis and recording, updating and
maintaining inventory of over 1100 items (including chemicals and
laboratory equipment). Final product was confirmed and purified by any
number of methods, including HPLC, flash column chromatography,
electrospray Mass-Spec and nuclear magnetic resonance (both 1H and 13C).
