Marketing

Assumed sales & marketing responsibilities of newly

launched (late '05) US production of polymeric RTF and

flat-laminated doors, drawer fronts and accessory

components. The operation utilizes advanced technologies

and methodologies; initial investments in plant and

equipment exceeded $35M. 3B SpA is known for its size and

leadership role of this field in Europe, but historically

has been relatively unknown here in North America.

Coordinated with a network of independent sales

representatives to identify customer needs and sales

opportunities within various market segments.

Organized sales and support efforts for all top-tier

accounts as the lead contact.

Responsible for preparing various types of product

presentations for a variety of existing and targeted

customers at middle and top-tier levels.

Created a series of ads which focused on unique selling

principles of 3B products in the "green arena'. Organized

meetings at top-tier accounts for forums regarding the

environmentally friendly features of 3B products and a Q&A

regarding current environmental standards as well as

future requirements.

Organized all aspects of the 3B presence at the AWFS in

'07 along with the IWF in '08.

Assisted in the creation of a training manual for 3B

independent sales representatives to increase product

knowledge and comfort level during sales calls. Sections

on production methods, foils, adhesives were included,

along with features / benefits and unique selling

principles.

Directly assisted the generation of > $2.2M in new sales

in 2008 and the positioning for an estimated $1.75M in new

sales for 2009.

2005-2007 Hafele America Company - Product

Manager

Assumed the role of Product Manager for Connectors in

2005. This is considered a strategic offering because 7 of

the more important connectors are produced by Hafele

in-house and represent core competencies, while

contributing to key aspects of Hafele's corporate

identity. Duties / achievements:

Management of $22M in revenue of various connectors, both

strategic as well as those which were sourced worldwide.

Includes purchasing aspects, inventory planning, price

management, marketing, product quality and logistical

support duties.

Worked closely with Hafele Worldwide (Nagold) and Berlin

(along with the internal New Product Evaluation Committee

in Archdale) on the development of new strategic

connectors associated with the desired "connector

renaissance" called for by the top of the organization.

Completed general product training at the Berlin facility:

zinc die-casting / tooling

cold-forming

turned bolts

plastic injection molding / tooling

Close coordination with Purchasing Department in Archdale

NC regarding item creation, inventory positions, standard

packaging, customized packing, Quality Control claims

(non-conforming material) and warehousing issues.

Increased the REV and gross profit of the offering,

already the second largest in REV and second most

profitable product offering after decorative hardware.

Participated in the development / presentation of a

Training Manual for Connectors together with colleagues in

Germany & US for use in Germany and North America as well

as international use.

Conducted product training for ~80 Hafele sales

consultants in US and Canada at various locations.

Assisted in a worldwide promotional project, initiated by

the directive of Hafele's Worldwide chief executive.

Additional duties directly associated with this project

included yearly meetings / presentation reports in Europe

with our HWW CEO and Managing Directors of key

subsidiaries regarding Connectors and conducting trainings

in North America and Europe.

2000-2005 Hafele America Company - Regional Sales

Manager

Assumed responsibilities as Regional Sales Manager for the

northeastern territory (Marketing Unit 302).

Job Duties: Responsible for the hiring / management and

sales training of 8 Hafele hardware sales consultants

covering 10 states and thousands of accounts at a variety

of tier levels.

Managed all aspects of an inside sales team of 4-5 people.

Assisted in growing sales in these territories from $7.2M

in 2000 to > $12M through 2005.

Increased the gross profit of the Marketing Unit from 39%

to 45%.

Managed a promotional effort for Hafele on-line sales

which produced the largest growth and REV in this category

corporate-wide.

Organized and presented a sub-distribution channel for

wood corbels, ornaments and appliqu s through Conestoga

Wood Specialties.

Assisted in the development of a similar sub-distribution

channel for Hafele Architectural hardware for the NE, as

well as other sub-distribution arrangements which were

considered B2C.

Supported Hafele Architectural group's efforts with

architects and designers via presentations and other

promotional aspects.

1998-2000 Caliber Components - Chief Operating

Officer

Developed a business plan for a high-tech furniture

component facility based in Greensboro NC.

Presented the concept & business plan to a group of 12

prominent area business leaders as an investment

opportunity and after their buy-in, launched Caliber

components in July of 1998 as Chief Operating Officer,

stock holder and board member.

Guided the operation to a successful launch and separated

in January 2000.

1984-1998 Valendrawers, Inc.- Executive VP / President

Started Valendrawers, Inc. as executive vice president and

minority stockholder.

Established a sales network of 15 independent

representatives coordinating the sales and marketing

efforts regionally and nationally

Spearheaded the initial establishment of a manufacturing

site and a major greenfield expansion in 1989 of 30k feet.

In 1992, doubled the size of the plant adding additional

machining capabilities.

Worked closely with Italian engineers to establish a

maintenance / technological manual for US maintenance and

trouble-shooting personnel.

Duties of President assigned in 1992 with primary focus on

sales & marketing, along with the forecasting of inventory

requirements and the establishment & monitoring of safety

stock levels.

Created sales of pre-finished R.T.A. drawer components and

related accessories of exceeding $100M over 14 year tenure

with the company.

Assisted large office contract customer in the importation

of chairs and components produced in Udine (Italy) and

Slovenia (former Yugoslavia)
