Employment History:
June 2008 - October 2009 Lockheed Martin Palmdale, Ca.
Composite Fabricator and assembler
Responsible for the lay up of pre-preg graphite and fiber glass plies for
the manufacturing of F-35 wing skins and spars. Additionally skilled in
the trimming, shaping, grinding, prepping, assembly, and bonding of
composite parts. Also trained in and operated laser positioning systems
for the lay up of graphite plies on large scale tooling for autoclave
curing. Skilled in the final bagging, sealing, and vacuuming procedures of
composite materials for curing processes designed to accomplish set and
cure conditions.
July 2007 - March 2008 Scaled Composites Mojave, Ca.
Composite Fabricator
Responsible for various composite fabrication task in the following; Pre-
preg Graphite lay up. Nomex or Roacell core shaping for wet resin lay up
with dry Graphite or Fiberglass cloth. Vacuuming, sealing, curing,
trimming, grinding, bonding, and assembly of composites. Interacted with
engineering in developing and fabricating lay up forms comprised of tooling
foam material. Used ingenuity, knowledge, theory, and procedure of
composite shop practices in the forming and processing of composite
aircraft parts. Configure tooling and part in curing apparatus such as
ovens to achieve tailored set and cure requirements. Performed advanced
rework and repair task akin to the level of a senior composite craftsman.
October 1990 - September 1994 Northrop Corporation Palmdale, Ca.
Systems Installation Mechanic
Responsible for the installation of flight systems on the B-2 Bomber in the
following areas. Hydraulic components, tubing, and cryofit couplings.
Pneumatic or bleed air lines. Fuel management components, tubing, and
Wiggins couplings. Wire harness routing. Wire splicing, crimping
contacts, and connector assembly. Demonstrated knowledge and comprehension
of blueprints and process specifications of a senior systems installation
mechanic. Possessed all certifications associated with, and necessary of a
leading skilled system installer.
May 1987 - October 1990 LTV Aerospace&Defense Palmdale, Ca.
Structure/Systems Mechanic
Responsible for structure assembly and systems installation on the B-2
Bomber in the following areas; drilling and fastener installation,
hydraulic, pneumatic, bleed air, and fuel management. Wire harness
routing, wire splicing, crimping contacts, and connector assembly.
Interfaced closely with engineering and planning to develop practical and
efficient methods of manufacturing on a newly developing program.
Possessed all certifications necessary for a proficient structures and
systems mechanic.
