. Work in a team environment performing analysis, design, and development

for new application system.

. Performed unit testing. Complete documentation of test cases, with

expected and actual results.

. Analysis of batch processing. Made recommendation allowing 45% runtime

reduction in one job and 51GB disk savings in another.

MYRON MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. Maywood, NJ.

Senior Programmer / Analyst. 2005 to May 2009.

. Main responsibility is for Financial, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and

Collections applications. Also modified other parts of system [shipping

and manufacturing]. Updated programs to speed processing taking advantage

of new system features.

. Modified all in house programs to accommodate interfacing with purchased

data encryption package in order to become compliant with MasterCard and

Visa requirements.

. Analyzed current credit card processing logic. Work with users and

recommended and implemented changes to the logic in order to streamline

the processing, identify exceptions, and aid in reconciliation. Modified

programs to allow better quality transactions to be sent, saving company

money.

. Coordinated Positive Pay file changes when bank switched.

. Work with users and bank to develop E-Check system allowing customers to

pay invoices over the phone by having payment made against money in their

bank account using ACH formatted transactions.

. Created and implemented data file interfaces to outsourced collection

system. Allowed credit department to track delinquent accounts better.

. Converted invoice process to use overlays, and eliminated preprinted

forms expense.

. Work with Financial department to create Purchase Price Variance report.

. Work with users to add functionality to paper based report programs to

allow creation of downloadable spreadsheet file.

. Programmed interface to apply electronic payment transactions from

European banks [SWIFT] into Accounts Receivable system.

. Data conversion work taking ERP extract files and creating EDI 850

transaction records for company shipper.

. Recommended and began implementation of object authority based on group

profiles and authorization lists, instead of individual user profiles.

. All work above was done using Websphere Development Studio [where

applicable] and RPG III, RPG IV, or ILE RPG on an IBM AS/400 [iSeries].

Some common, existing routines were converted from individually coded

subroutines in separate programs, into modules. New logic was coded into

modules as appropriate. Modules were added to service programs. New

service programs were entered into a binding directory.

MELLON FINANCIAL CORPORATION. Fort Lee, NJ

Senior Systems Analyst / Programmer. 1998 to 2005.

. Met with users to outline needs. Analyzed those needs to determine how

existing system could meet the need. Wrote documentation supporting

enhancements to existing system where needed.

. Analyzed programs and made suggestions for improvements. Worked directly

with users in making system enhancements, and creating testing methods

for use in program verification. Performed maintenance and modification

of existing programs based on user requests. New system features were

programmed in ILE RPG.

. Wrote new client employee load program that allowed user defined mapping

instructions to be entered in a configuration file. It allowed editing,

justification, case conversion, date and character set validation, as

well as client specific editing routines. Significantly reduced

programming and testing time when changes to mapping documents were made,

as well as helping to streamline implementations. ILE RPG and RPG IV were

used exclusively in this project.

. Coordinated workflow between three programmers and two consultants.

. Performed research with users to explain program flows and identify

program deficiencies in regards to incoming data feeds from clients.

remedy data feed deficiencies and improve various data reconciliation

processes.

. Researched and presented an AS/400 GUI Interface to Management to give

updated look and feel to Health & Welfare application.

. Assigned to role as project manager for implementing new client. Met with

users to obtain program functionality and wrote program specifications

for programming staff.

. Performed training on application system and report writers helping to

. Initiated set up automated Job Scheduler and automated FTP file

. Responsible for maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting for Call

Reporting, Sample Accountability, and Satisfaction Survey Systems running

on an AS/400. Utilized RPG IV in all new development.

. Built significant data validation capabilities to all data entry screens

for all clients. Enhanced error messages for the same. Rewrote and

enhanced applications to provide audit trails and summary reports to

expedite research processes and reconciliation.

. Streamlined new client rollout procedures from weeks to days using Field

Reference File (FRF). Kept Rollout Procedure Documentation current.

Modified file DDS specifications to use FRF. Modified programs to perform

needed function, while being as generic as possible. Standardized field

names.

. Created programs and control procedures to provide file downloads to

. Initiated set up AS/400 based Ethernet network with Client Access/400 to

. Officer level position to oversee a staff responsible for performing

Deposit Operations duties and providing Data Processing services to Bank

personnel and customers. Responsible for providing application system

access to all bank branches. Ordered hardware to support additional users

and branches.

. Centralized bank wide marketing information to allow for marketing

reports on existing and potential customers. Accessed customer

relationship information to allow the Bank to identify groups of

customers for target marketing.

. Created and automated loan grade review reports for Loan Review

Department.

. Planning and testing of Disaster Recovery site hardware and software.

. Developed the following: on-line collection system, ATM interface, and

check reconciliation system.

. Installed, tested, and placed into production an ACH EDI system to

process customer payrolls, electronic payments, deposits, and returns

with NYACH.
