. Main responsibility is for Financial, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and
Collections applications. Also modified other parts of system [shipping
and manufacturing]. Updated programs to speed processing taking advantage
of new system features.
. Modified all in house programs to accommodate interfacing with purchased
data encryption package in order to become compliant with MasterCard and
Visa requirements.
. Analyzed current credit card processing logic. Work with users and
recommended and implemented changes to the logic in order to streamline
the processing, identify exceptions, and aid in reconciliation. Modified
programs to allow better quality transactions to be sent, saving company
money.
. Coordinated Positive Pay file changes when bank switched.
. Work with users and bank to develop E-Check system allowing customers to
pay invoices over the phone by having payment made against money in their
bank account using ACH formatted transactions.
. Created and implemented data file interfaces to outsourced collection

. All work above was done using Websphere Development Studio [where
applicable] and RPG III, RPG IV, or ILE RPG on an IBM AS/400 [iSeries].
Some common, existing routines were converted from individually coded
subroutines in separate programs, into modules. New logic was coded into
modules as appropriate. Modules were added to service programs. New
service programs were entered into a binding directory.

. Met with users to outline needs. Analyzed those needs to determine how
existing system could meet the need. Wrote documentation supporting
enhancements to existing system where needed.
. Analyzed programs and made suggestions for improvements. Worked directly
with users in making system enhancements, and creating testing methods
for use in program verification. Performed maintenance and modification
of existing programs based on user requests. New system features were
programmed in ILE RPG.
. Wrote new client employee load program that allowed user defined mapping
instructions to be entered in a configuration file. It allowed editing,
justification, case conversion, date and character set validation, as
well as client specific editing routines. Significantly reduced
programming and testing time when changes to mapping documents were made,
as well as helping to streamline implementations. ILE RPG and RPG IV were
used exclusively in this project.

for all clients. Enhanced error messages for the same. Rewrote and
enhanced applications to provide audit trails and summary reports to
expedite research processes and reconciliation.
. Streamlined new client rollout procedures from weeks to days using Field
Reference File (FRF). Kept Rollout Procedure Documentation current.
