Retail Store Program
. Manage a team of 8 technical project managers responsible for the
implementation of all technology components dealing with new openings,
remodels and closures of Washington Mutual Retail financial centers.
. Direct team performance to align with management goals through process
developments, definite requirements gathering, budget allocation, risk
analysis, issue resolution, and employee and vendor coordination.
. Deliver executive level communications to internal and external teams
on Program initiatives and associated risks.
. Surpassed management goals of 45% zero defect store openings for 2007
and in 2008, delivered 74% of new stores with zero defects at opening.
. Managed the successful integration of CCB Bank branches into the WaMu

. Responsible for onsite implementation of banking infrastructure
projects, including but not limited to all network, data, and system
deployment, decommission, and migrations for multiple locations.

. Designed Chatsworth Campus Fiber Optic Network Backbone and directed
the implementation for 21 buildings, including permit negotiation for
multiple Los Angeles County underground utilities franchise.

LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES 2000 to 2001
Network Systems Engineer - Project Manager
As a Project Manager for Lucent Technologies I was responsible for all
aspects of assigned voice and data communications projects.
Responsibilities included: management of projects, local and wide area
network development, client consulting, management of IT budgets, client
and vendor relations, creating software user manuals, issue resolution, and
project completion.
Responsible for all project aspects to replaced an existing ATM
backbone with a Switched Gigabit Ethernet/Fast Ethernet infrastructure
for approximately 1600 users in five campus buildings for a large
National Health Care Provider
. Developed project documentation, timelines, personnel resources,
project material tracking, budget management, vendor scheduling and
technical issue resolution.
. Worked with client team and multiple vendor teams to overcome
unforeseen technical issues.
. Managed vendors, client and non-client building tenant(s) in rite-of-
way and common access issues.
. Conversion of approximately 1600 workstations and servers from Token
Ring to Fast Ethernet.
. Responsibilities included interviewing client's personnel to define
needs analysis, developing project plans, creating employee and vendor
scheduling to lead projects to completion.
. Acted as both a project manager and project coordinator assisting
other project managers in communications and relations with the
Network Services Infrastructure Team in plan development and
implementation of project(s).
. Managed project plan and technical development of Cisco based Virtual
Private Network (VPN)
. Developed technical details, interviewed and worked with senior
management to develop budgets, deployment timelines, user guidelines,
security, disaster recovery, training and documentation.
. Managed development of network and security standards for the VPN

INSIGHT TECHNOLOGIES 1997 to 2000
Owner - Technical Project Manager / Consultant
Provided clients with project management and consultative services, which
included development of local, and wide area networks, contract
negotiation, vendor management and the maintenance of data and voice
networks for domestic and multi-national corporations. Responsible for
management of projects including local and wide area networks with
different operating systems, protocols and transmission methods for large
finance, manufacturing, distribution, and sales applications. Additional
responsibilities included management of IT budgets, user-groups,
application assessment and evaluation of software through conversion,
staff training, and final implementation.

Coogi Australia
. Managed engineering team responsible for the developed US and
Australian LAN/WAN network design, wrote cabling requirements, and
vendor RFP's for all Coogi facilities worldwide for both data and
voice
. Responsible for development of company computer policies and
procedures, file structures, software requirements, and
implementation schedules
. Managed engineering and installation of a Cisco VOIP network for 11
facilities in Australia.
. Managed the engineering team responsible for the upgrade of existing
network from Novell 3.11 and Unix v.3 to Windows NT 4.0 Server
. Implemented international TCP/IP based Frame Relay and ISDN WAN, as
well as dial up remote access services, and VLAN services
. Analyzed usage and negotiated contracts in local, long distance,
cellular, and data traffic with new carriers resulting in over
$15,000 in annual savings.
Samuel's Jewelers
. Managed project team designing the voice and data network utilizing
both new and existing cabling resulting in savings of $30,000
. Managed implementation team for installation of a LAN/WAN consisting
of Windows NT 4.0 Server, Dec Net, IBM AS/400 an integrated voice
response system, several hundred workstations and a NEC telephone
system.
. Managed multiple hardware, software, and telecommunications vendors
to accomplish a multi-city three-week lead-time move of 130
employees and a separate five-week lead-time move of over 200
employees.
American Express Tax and Business Services Division
. Data and voice cable plant architect for TBS offices across the
United States
. Analyzed long distance plans resulting in over $75,000 annual
savings.
. Created Y2K analysis of all Tax and Business Services offices
nationwide.
. Managed multiple RFP's for systems and cable structures for selected
offices nationwide, reporting to American Express TBS Corporate
management.
