Key Accomplishments
. Served as project lead for a series of projects designed to
reinvigorate the sales of the Paralens - Fluorescent Microscope
Adapter, increasing individual product sales to a record high of over
4.5M in the first year.
. Served as direct supplier representative for largest single OEM
customer within QBC Diagnostics, increasing approval rating for the
company from a "B- (marginal)" to a solid "A+ (exceptional)"
. Delivered 60K / year cost savings across all centrifuge product lines
by redesigning the lid hinge and negotiating purchasing with an
outside supplier.
. Identified, initiated and led company wide lean initiatives for
reduction of product inspection and handling providing an estimated 10-
15% reduction of time and labor within the incoming inspection
department.
. Championed a Free Range nesting automation equipment project
from concept to product launch within 8 months resulting in a new
product line
. Conceptualized, designed, developed, and patented a bactericidal
system for use with residual implantable orthopedic devices including
total hips, total knees, spinal fixation devices, and fracture
fixation devices
. Rewrote the production monitoring system for both the basic oxygen
process and the continuous caster pump cooling systems saving the
corporation $400,000 per system rewrite.
. Lead the creation of a Penn State associated business entity,
ArgentumCidalElectrics, Inc. that designs and develops bactericidal
surface coatings as part of a bactericidal engineering solution for
both medical and consumer products
. Managed the design, testing, reporting, and research teams associated
with the quantification of proper acetabular cup placement according
to surgical boney landmarks
. Designed, prototyped and tested a minimally invasive percutaneous
total hip implant, an opening wedge for implantation as well as
minimally invasive surgical tools
