About me:
After 13 years, I feel like I'm just getting started. Here are a few personal highlights:
Once while freelancing I found myself the only person in the agency, with the alarm set. I
didn't leave my desk all night for fear of tripping the alarm.
I became known as Bronco in some states.
I slept one night at W+K Portland.
My Experience:
McKee Wallwork Cleveland - Senior Art Director, 2005 - 2010
I honed my craft working on integrated campaigns for accounts such as Bloomberg, Mr.
Rooter Plumbing and New Mexico Tobacco Use Prevention And Control. - I'd take out the
award show stuff and put it at the end. During this time, I got into CA and was shortlisted
twice for One Show.
Razorfish / Portland - Art Director, 2000 - 2005
Working on accounts like CNN Sports Illustrated, Adidas and Microsoft, I learned quite a
bit about the business of getting an ad out the door. I consider my time here very well
spent, working with top-notch creatives who continue to astound their clients. And
fortunately, I had a hand in the excitement.
Rick Johnson & Company - Junior Art Director, 1996 - 1999
I saw every project as an opportunity for a great idea. I took Furr’s Supermarkets to the
Addys, and I helped push Angel Fire Resort’s brand to the next level. At Rick Johnson, I
learned how to think bigger than just an ad, and I nourished my creative and strategic
side.
Wal-Mart Corporate - Designer, 1994 - 1995
As a Designer in the Signage Department, I did all the seasonal signage for the store-wide
chain. I handled the projects from beginning to end, working with merchandising
managers and plastics vendors and fixture manufacturers. It was fun, mainly because the
Wal-Mart culture is so highly nurtured. Plus we got to do a cheer every single morning.
Tracey-Locke/DDB-Needham - Production Artist, 1994
It was still called Tracey-Locke, and as a Production Artist, I saw it all. I worked on the
then-failing Haggar account under the leadership of David Fowler. I also did production
on Pepsi, Budget, and GTE Phones. This is where I got my first taste of a national-level
agency environment. I loved it. I felt at home.
Oklahoma State University 1991-1994
I was framing houses when my dad said to me, “You can draw. You should pursue that in
some way.” Three years later I had an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design.
