of a benefits clerk, secretary and registered nurse.

up a professional human resources function at a newly acquired plant for

Emerson

Electric.

. Assisted plant management in successfully defeating a union campaign by

the I.B.E.W.

. Assisted in the transition of a plant sponsored benefits program to a

corporate benefits plan that included such benefits as ESOP and LTD.

U.S. Steel Corporation, Gary, West Virginia

Division Manager of Employment (8/78 - 7/79)

Responsibilities included the college recruitment efforts for the mining

division of U.S. Steel (3,000 employees). Monitored each hiring location

to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Trained managers in

their responsibilities for affirmative action and EEO. Assisted in case

preparation for arbitration with United Mine workers.

Interviewer (1/77 - 8/78)

Responsible for interviewing and processing applicants for hourly positions

at a new mine site for U.S. Steel.
