CHEP USA

Corporate Consultant – July 1998 - July 2002 (Fixed Term Project)

Multi-national pallet and container leasing company with annual revenues in excess of $900M

and growing at over 30% annually (Hyper-growth during the past 4 years).

Responsible for leading a multi-functional team to develop & implement a strategic initiative

dedicated to the re-engineering of CHEP’s operational network (resulting in 65 new facilities).

Successfully opened and staffed, new facilities, on time and within budget (including

lease/leasehold activities) employing 2 million sq. ft (under roof) and over 800 people.

Guided a cross-functional team of 15 senior managers and directors to implement the

initial 3 consolidated, integrated pallet Premium Service Centers in the US.

Developed a strategic plan for the full service exclusive agreement with

Wal*Mart/Sam’s operations.

Lead the IBC (food sector) initiative which included the creation of a internal and

external multi-functional team, market assessments, and manufacturing out-sourcing.

Regulatory requirements (ISO & HACCP) were also addressed.

Led the Industrial Engineering initiative for the establishment of productivity base line

budget data and the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Assisted with the Automotive initiative, inter-acting with Dalimer-Chrysler.
