******@*****.***
An accomplished professional in operations, engineering, design,
installation, maintenance and field service of one of a kind automated
equipment.
Proven record of innovative leadership, driven by values, dedicated to a
diverse workforce, and committed to providing a positive and safe work
environment.
Professional Highlights
. As a Controls Engineer I have created over 100 fully detailed electrical
packages, and programs utilizing AutoCad2008. This included full BOM's,
UL compliant schematics, wiring diagrams, piping diagrams and termination
layouts. Complete PLC, HMI, and Servo programming.
. As a project manager I was tasked with identifying new equipment
failures. After a thorough analysis of the equipment. I changed and
reprogrammed the control system and HMI, developed a skid plate
assembly and worked with the mechanical engineers to design a new sweep
arm assembly. This machine upgrade also included 4 new servos. Upon
completion, production was increased by 45%, quality and reliability were
increased, and labor was reduced by 20%.
. Designed a floating point integer program that allowed for multiple set
point parameters from a single position input. This allowed for over 200
deposits per minute from a single encoder.
. Designed a ratio control program that maintained exact portioning of up
to 12 different products in a multi-conveyor blending application.
. Designed a variable exhaust and air make up system that maintained
approximately 29.5 CFM for each EDM in a confined space machine shop.
. Lead, managed, serviced and installed custom manufactured equipment
utilizing engineering principles. This included placement, commissioning,
and field service of high speed automated machinery to customers locally,
nationally or internationally.
. Simultaneously managed $100 MM in capital projects in one year for
multiple frozen food clients. The scope of these projects included
generating RFQ/RFP's, selecting and testing multiple pieces of equipment.
Issuing purchase orders, negotiating terms and conditions, and tracking
results.
. Assisted sales department in justifying customer expenditures of capital
equipment, calculating ROI, and promoted new technology within the
packaging industry. Worked with engineering and production teams to
ensure timely execution of customer's projects. Reported project
progress to CEO, and scheduled design review meetings with customers.
Accurately determine realistic lead times for the customer's objectives
and goals.
. Improved reputation and delivery of a custom machinery manufacturer in
the packaging industry. This was achieved by implementing new scheduling
methods. Managing material lead times with vendors. Developing and
managing the production schedule for labor, material, equipment and sub-
contractors. Provided detailed goals and bench marks for all departments.
Initiated purchase requisitions, and identifying vendors who could
perform on a on-time basis.
. Creating detailed technical manuals which included every aspect of
machinery operation including installation, set-up, start-up, trouble-
shooting and preventative maintenance schedules. Additionally these
manuals contained lubrication standards, fluid levels, and spare parts
lists.
