Directed a full range of enterprise software capabilities consisting of
packaged applications such as Baan ERP, Best FA, IBM GERS, Hyperion,
BusinessObjects etc. as well as custom developed in-house applications.
Had overall responsibility for system performance & customer satisfaction
in the areas of manufacturing operations, financial systems, logistics and

serving as a corporate resource for strategic planning, selection of
applications/technology solutions, contract management and supplier
relations. Some of the my noteworthy career highlights at Herman Miller

. Played a key leadership role in implementing Customized ERP solution in
all 9 manufacturing plants across West Michigan and Georgia, replacing 4
ERP systems and standardizing one version of customization across the
enterprise that each plant/line could enable or disable.
. Streamlined and standardized bar coding and RF real-time data collection
for greater efficiency in production, receiving and inventory control;
proposed a browser based solution that allows the use of any generic RF
gun (potential savings of $600K-$1000K).
. Championed the integration of Lean Principles (TPS) with a wide variety
of applications for greater operational efficiency/accuracy including PLC
machines, production scoreboards, engineering drawings and flow control.
. Generated annual savings of $150K and improved order completion
reliability by replacing MQ series with a custom solution utilizing a
PERL and DB2 connect.
. Key contributor to securing a corporate-wide competitive advantage,
improving the reliability of shipments from 65% to 99% through the
successful implementation of ERP solution.
. Ensured adherence to Sarbanes Oxley compliance for all IT Systems,
procedures and controls, played a key role in disaster recovery and

of analysts and developers overseeing the following areas;
1. Customizations & Support of ERP - Oversaw customization of the ERP
applications, development of new applications/interfaces, performance
tuning of the applications etc.. This included all functional areas used
at Herman Miller i.e. Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance etc..
2. Finance Applications - Responsible for all financial applications and
helped in the development & implementation of new financial systems and
support of existing financial systems. The finance shared services were
spread across different areas and supported manufacturing, purchase, order
management, fixed assets, GL, AP, AR etc. across various systems like Baan
ERP, Mainframe, Oracle Applications, Best FA, IBM GERS for T&E, Hyperion
etc..
3. Java and Middleware - Oversaw team for development and support of Custom
applications on the Java platform. The team had successfully developed a
Web based custom application called Logistic Execution System (LES) and
Trailer Tracker build using IBM Websphere. The team also used technologies
such as SOA, Web services, XML, perl scripting etc..for integration and
middleware such as Webmethods, Baan Openworld and MQ.
4. BusinessObjects - My team supported this BI tool and was responsible for
the training & rollout and on going support of BusinessObjects. Business
partners could access, analyze, and share customer, sales, finance,
product, dealer, and employee information irrespective of the source of
data.
5. Data Management - This team was responsible for ensuring the
availability of live production data in the test environment to support
Integrated Functional Testing (IFT) and Integrated Interface Testing (IIT).
This team also played an important role in the cutover process of the
Implementation. This team also responded to mass data changes when
requested by Business Partners.

Engineers in the standard development of Triton 3.0 and 3.1 as well as
Baan IV and V applications. Was the key architect for the General Ledger
module.
. Championed and led the development/implementation of the PMC (Product
Maintenance and Control module that is used for distribution of software
bug fixes / patches and ensuring integrity of the software installed.
This had contributed tremendously to increased reliability of the

. Led a team of 30 software engineers in addressing QA issues in the
product, reducing 1,200 identified bugs in the system to less than 50
over a three-month period.
