North American Cerutti Corporation is a world wide leader in producing

paper board web fed printing presses, platen cutters, rotary die cutters

and delivery systems for the folding carton & packaging industry.

Director of Operations

Responsible for operations management of the shop, materials production &

inventory control, purchasing, service parts ordering, information systems,

and facilities reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Technical

Services.

Achievements:

> On time shipments for all complete line orders and 95% on time

shipment of service parts orders including short turnaround

customer breakdowns.

> Actual job material costs historically ran 3% to 5% below costing

estimates and shop direct labor applied hours met costing

standards.

> Managed the purchasing material $7.0 Million dollar annual

procurement volumes through cost effective suppliers and contract

negotiation.

> With the same annual business volumes, reduced the Purchasing /

Production & Inventory Control Staff by 50% through personnel cross-

training & development, improved process flow, and documented

procedures.

> Implemented facility improvements including the Qantel business

system Year 2000 conversion, new security system, new cranes, new

shipping /receiving dock and assorted misc. office equipment &

facility upgrades.

> Was requested by the V.P. to be part of the team to perform a

business system analysis at the reacquired Bernal Division.

Reviewed and modified their Vantage business system to fully

implement the shop production scheduling module. Documented

business procedures, generated business flow charts to reduce cycle

time, corrected staffing level issues, and created operations

summary reports to manage the operation. These efforts improved the

business product flow, shop scheduling, order shipment date

forecasting, and the capability of handling the increased business

volumes and maintaining on time customer shipments.
