motivation in regular and special education settings, university and
community colleges, and private practice.
Development and implementation of learning skills curriculum emphasizing
cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies, study skills, and positive

Development and implementation of specialized tutor training in biology and
anatomy and physiology; general tutor training at community colleges and

project received mention in CCSSE Highlights, vol. 2, Issue 6.

Coordinated the Education courses in the Field of Studies program. It grew
from one section of 8 students to two sections of 16-20 students each.
EDUC student enrollment grew from 0 to 36 in 2004-05.
Reinstitution of a Human Development student success course with documented
semester GPA increase of 1-2 points.
TASL (Texas assessing Student Learning): Developed an information website,
a biannual newsletter and marketing materials that served to inform
faculty, staff and administrators in Texas regarding SACS-COC accreditation
requirements, recent research related to assessment and best practices for
assessing student learning.
Planned and delivered professional workshops on assessment topics attended
by more than 20 colleges from across Texas.
Utilized surveys and feedback forms to assess the effectiveness and impact
of project deliverables.
