Summary of Qualifications

Project/Proposal Engineer for the URS Corporation for maintenance

engineering projects at the Marathon Refinery Canton, Ohio. Prior

experience includes the design and installation of low NOx combustion

equipment, plate steel ducting and piping for steel mills, utility boilers,

HVAC/plumbing for commercial buildings and supervision in construction.

Responsibilities as Project Engineer include coordinating the size of the

design team and sub contract labor, review and approval of engineering

drawings, schedules, material estimating, fabrication bids for low cost, on

time delivery and working with the project manager to ensure that the

project remains on time and on budget while limiting scope creep while

pursuing external change orders to recuperate costs outside the scope of

the project contract. Projects have finished with positive contribution

margins while aggressively utilizing cost reduction methods. Average

project size and length has been 3-6 million dollars and 18 month to 2-year

completion/commissioning span.
