staff of three. 60% of product was imported from Norway and 40% was
manufactured by sub-contractors in U.S. Was responsible for forecasting,
procurement, and importation. Was hired due to a large project for two
power plants in China to install intercom, telephone, lighting,
timekeeping and warning systems.
. Ensured that 76 pallet loads of materials were shipped to China on
time and on budget.
. Reduced lead times from suppliers.

Later became MRP and Inventory Specialist. Trained in the use of Fourth
Shift integrated software.
Left company when new ownership (Syntronics) eliminated my position.

Hired because of experience with MAPICS II MRP software. Reported to the
VP/GM and was responsible for all purchasing and material control for
this 250,000 esq. factory that employed up to 150 and manufactured
overhead garage doors and related products. The main commodity purchased
was steel - bought from primary and secondary markets. Annual spend was
approximately $20 million.
. Started up and operated the MAPICS II MRP system.
. Helped implement SPC to improve quality and reduce scrap.

forecasting, purchasing, and inventory control system.
. Debugged and started up the automated system, which improved
service levels from 94% to 97% and reduced annual inventory
expenditure by $534,000.
. Improved inventory turns from approximately 7 to over 12 and
negotiated extended payment terms.
My position was eliminated upon the successful implementation of an
automated purchasing,
requirements forecasting, and inventory control system which I
