Experimental study for screening clinical isolates of nontypeable

Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI)

. Research project involves the use of a 96-well Biofilm assay to screen

clinical isolates of nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI).

. The purpose is to determine whether or not they are weak, moderate or

strong biofilm producers.

. Based on biofilm producer's character, a representative isolate of

each group will be allowed to grow as a monospecies biofilm and its

architecture will be distinguished, studied and compared to that of

isolates from the other two groups.

. The intent of this investigation is to discover fundamental

differences in the biofilm architecture of each of these three groups.
