and assembles electromechanical plated and painted sheet-metal cabinet and

enclosure assemblies for the computer, telecom and data industries,

including Motorola, Dell and Hewlett Packard.

Project Engineer 2003 - Sept, 2009

Responsible for initial design review (Design for Manufacturability),

planning, developing and implementing new product introduction (NPI) of

custom sheet metal (using stamping press progressive dies, laser turret

presses and hydraulic press brakes) plated/painted electronic enclosures,

cabinets and accessories including racks, sub-racks as well as slide rail

and cable management solutions. This includes: project planning and

tracking, external customer and vendor management, prototype development,

tooling review, cost analysis and budget review, piece part cost

estimation, sustaining engineering, work measurement, continuous

improvement (Lean) activities, creating prototype/project JDE MRP bills of

material (BOM) and process routings, initiating, completing and tracking

ECN requests, creating assembly instructions and inspection documentation,

packaging design and specification review, plant layout and machinery

relocation.

. In a Manufacturing/Quality engineering role, assisted with the

prototype development of the new COCA COLA fountain drink welded steel

frame assembly (code name Free Style) and its press brake fabricated

sheet metal accessories. Created proposed AutoCAD welded frame work

center and its process flow prior to its transfer to the Reynosa,

Mexico facility.
