Launch Manager (combined role of Account and Program Manager)
Manager of multiple fuel delivery module (FDM) programs with BMW and Nissan
. Directed the APQP process using a SharePoint based collaboration system
and successfully launched the BMW MY07 X5 and MY 08 X6 fuel delivery
module programs. Used the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint,
Excel, Word) extensively on a daily basis.
. Led the cross functional Product Development Team responsible for
supplier selection, equipment prove out, prototype and pre-production
builds, PV testing and launch activities
. Chaired reviews of key program documentation (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan,
etc.), in support of the company's TQM philosophy
. Controlled tooling and capital budgets, pre launch program timing, and
post launch change management
. Negotiated BMW approval of numerous cost reduction projects including
pump production line transfers, in-house molding, and vertical
integration of sub assemblies

. Added responsibility for all North American- produced fuel delivery

. Implemented projects to improve margins and offset givebacks. Included
in- house manufacturing of Nissan fuel pumps and filter packs, plus in-
house molding of key components that provided total yearly savings of
$372,000
. Launched design changes to address warranty issues saving $240,000
annually
. Maintained all cost and price information in the AS400 system

motor business valued at $40 million. Liaison between Ford and Hitachi

batteries, electric motors, and other hybrid and electric vehicle

Corporation (Electronic Throttle Body) and DaimlerChrysler (Mass Air Flow
Sensor).
. Developed non automotive markets for Hitachi's flow sensor technology
with business awards at Ballard (hydrogen powered fuel cell generators)
and AlliedSignal (natural gas powered turbine generators).

Grew the mass air flow sensor (MAFS) business with Ford Motor Company and
Visteon from $500 thousand to over $60 million per year. Maintained
budgets and forecasts. Also managed powertrain control modules, MAP
sensors, and idle air control valves.

manufacturing equipment sales
. Introduced remanufacturing of MAFS to improve margins on service and
aftermarket parts
