OBJECTIVE
I am interested in applying my education and experience at a successful
company interested in technology and customer satisfaction. Positions that
I am suited to fulfill range from mechanical design of equipment and
tooling, to manufacturing productivity refinement.
EMPLOYMENT
- PROCESS EQUIPMENT COMPANY, Tipp City, Ohio
(Provides custom automated systems for manufacturing to many
industries)
Mechanical Engineer (2007 - 2009)
I have designed robotic material handling cells, safety
enclosures for laser welding machines,
and tooling for laser welders and component assembly presses.
Utilizing SolidWorks my
efforts produced conceptual design, detail drawings for the
machining of components, and
assembly drawings for the construction of machines. While
providing technical support
during machine construction and debugging processes I have
developed excellent communication
skills with shop floor personnel. While working on project
teams, I have learned to manage
projects, keep them within the budget, and deliver on time.
- GOODRICH CORPORATION, Troy, Ohio
(Provides aircraft wheel and brake systems to the aerospace
industry)
Fixture Designer (2000 - 2007)
I have designed machining fixtures for CNC lathes and 5 axis
machining centers utilizing
Unigraphics NX, DFMA and GD&T. While participating in shop
floor Lean Manufacturing
events I have acquired knowledge pertaining to quality and
productivity improvement. I have
also developed a standard family of fixture components
unique to aircraft wheel machining.
- HEIDELBERG SYSTEMS, Dayton, Ohio
(Provides high-speed bindery systems to the printing industry)
Design Engineer (1993 - 1999)
Machine Designer (1989 - 1993)
I have designed custom conveyor equipment and optional
accessories for production magazine
binding systems. Also while assembling the equipment,
installing it in the customer's facility,
and training the machine operators I have obtained much valuable
"hands on" experience.
