As an employee of CIBER, an international system integration consultancy company, was contracted out to
Teletracking, developer of tracking software for hospitals. Maintained a consistent architecture, performing
architectural design evaluations and ensuring overall architectural integrity between project segments.
Reviewed all designs, documented overall processes, participated in all vendor evaluations, and developed
prototypes for shared parts of code. Collaborated with .Net project director to create schedules for $1M+
project. Managed work of 9 developers including features being performed offshore by team from India. (Dev
Env: C#.Net, Web-based system)
• Controlled project costs through implementing code-generation techniques.
• Saved company money and improved quality by convincing management to move development
from offshore India team back onshore. Communication and issues with India team were
compromising code quality and lengthening project timelines.
• Optimized processes for CIBER by initiating and managing bi-weekly build processes, insuring

Managed migration to new codebase that could better handle increased volume for privately-held
company that provides EDI solution for small and mid-tier companies. Managed 4 developers and 1
QA resource and researched and recommended all 3rd party products, interacting with viable vendors.
(Dev Env: Internal client/server, WebMethods workflow engine, C#, Delphi)
• Saved each developer .5hr/day by automating manual tests, when the team thought it was
impossible.
• Re-architected legacy code, in a system still being used today. Non-core business functionality was purchased
(i.e. WebMethods), while functionality core to the companies IP was rewritten.
• Improved overall business processes, through implementing the Capability Maturity Model standards for
tracking and writing document templates.
• Maximized staff productivity and expertise by recommending and implementing new employee training for
technical staff. The company soon afterwards implemented a company-wide training.

Technical Lead/Sr. Developer
Intuit makes financial software such as Quicken and TurboTax. Initially, responsible for coding and
leading the TurboTax Personal project. Then, helped to start the QuickenMortgage product (now
QuickenLoans). (Dev Environment: C++, COM, ASP)
• Developed technical portion of business plan for QuickenMortgage a new Intuit venture.
QuickenMortgage was the first fully online application for Intuit. The first release was completed
on-time and within budget.
• Proposed feature of State Interview for TurboTax Personal and followed-through with the technical
implementation. This feature received reviewer accolades, e.g. Wall Street Journal.
• Wrote the first automated download program for TurboTax, including code compression, Perl CGI
scripting, and version management. Trained implementation team on execution.
