to managers for all manufacturing operations including metal
forming, metal fabrication, welding,

and regulatory compliance.
. Directly interfaced with and was the company liaison to all
federal, state, and local regulatory agencies for three (3)
sites. Consisting of but not limited to USEPA Region IV,
NCDOL, NCDOSH, NCDENR (DAQ, DWQ, and DSW), NCEMA, WNCRAQA,
Henderson County Emergency Management, Fire Marshall, Health
and Sheriff Department, City of Fletcher Fire Department and
Police Department, and MSD of Buncombe County, North

. Promoted the use of and maintained an active safety
committee made up of cross functional talent to investigate
incidents, train employees, and communicate safety related
activity for the three (3) site operations.
. Managed the design and construction of a 150,000 square foot
manufacturing facility for
a customer value center for product assembly with just in

Award upon project completion and production launch

natural gas, and water and sewer for three (3) sites with

1982. Facility Engineer: Responsible to the Director of Operations,

site managers for all manufacturing
2001. operations at Fletcher, North Carolina; Arden, North Carolina; and

. Established and maintained ISO14001 environmental management
systems and obtained ISO14001 certification for three (3)
facilities: Fletcher, North Carolina (1999), Frankfort,
Kentucky (2000), and Arden, North Carolina (2000).
. Managed the design and construction of a 110,000 square foot
addition to the Fletcher operation. Brought the $6,500,000
budgeted addition in at $5,700,000.
. Developed a HAP's free black primer paint for use by the
corporation in painting operations. Reduced xylene HAP
emissions for the total corporation by 77 tons and was the
recipient of the Rockwell President's Environmental Award in
1992.
. Promoted to Environmental & Safety Manager.

electrical control devices with employment of 1,200 for the North
American market.
1979. Facility Engineer: Responsible to the Plant Engineer for
facility engineering and facility
to maintenance for two (2) buildings encompassing 400,000 square
feet.

. Directly supervised a facility maintenance team comprised of
three (3) mechanics and one (1) mechanic apprentice to
improve facility equipment reliability by 3.7% or $18,500.
. Provided engineering approval and launched Plant 2. A
125,000 square foot, $10,000,000 facility for relocation of
Group 3 electrical components manufacture allowing Group 1
and 2 to increase current production in the original
facility.
1978. Industrial Engineer: Responsible to the Industrial Engineering
Manager for three product lines in
to Group 1.

. Established motion time measurement (MTM) studies for
Department 125 FSG pump switch production line to reduce
operator headcount from 43 to 37.
. Conducted engineering studies with product engineering to
improve component design and process flow.
. Promoted to Facility Engineer.
