Provide on-site customer support for thin film deposition equipment in
Research and Development (R & D) lab environments. Serve primarily within
Micron Technology's R & D lab located in Boise, Idaho, and deploy

Install, upgrade, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of complex
Physical and Chemical Thin Film Deposition equipment. Serve as customer
interface, instructing customers in operation and maintenance of systems.
Responsible for service to: ULVAC PVD/CVD/ALD thin film 200mm/300mm
Sputter Systems, Enviro3 MT Advantage, OptimaMT 300mm Asher systems, MESEC
analytical equipment, Entron EX 300 PVD, Entron EX Super Tool, Enviro
Asher.
Project Leadership: Successfully served as Project Lead for most R & D
system's released from the corporate home office in Japan. "Go to" field
service professional for ULVAC Technologies Japan's R & D leadership (once
called by Japanese CEO directly for a field service engineering
deployment).
Technical Accomplishment: Completed more than 20 separate multi-million
dollar R & D projects for Seagate's Minnesota and Pittsburgh sites, Micron
Technologies, I-Fire, Gennum, and SemiTool Corporation including thin film,
Asher, Analytical and Diffusion Furnace equipment installation, de-
installations, and modifications to hardware and software.
Safety: Global safety trainer for ULVAC equipment, completing a one-year
training program to qualify.

Supervisor of Production / Equipment Maintenance
Project leader of production and tooling maintenance. Supervised process
production and equipment maintenance, training teams to maintain and
operate Pilot Thin Film PVD/CVD deposition equipment.
Project and Program Management: Led construction of clean room and Fab for
production of lithium-ion batteries for use in state-of-the art heart
pacemakers. Responsible for instituting Georgia state safety requirements,
this included five separate process chambers, and capacitor making process
equipment.
Vendor Management: Interfaced with nine vendors for clean room, power
supplies, scientific equipment, and general contractors. Company
representative in interactions with OSHA, Georgia Safety Department.

Senior Maintenance Technician (1995 - 1999)
Performed all levels of periodic maintenance. Troubleshooting electronic
AC/DC circuits, pneumatic and high-pressure vacuum systems. Serviced
equipment manufactured by Applied Materials, Novellus, and Kokosai
(diffusion furnaces).
As Station Improvement Team Leader
Introduced new changes to the tool set and addressed and implemented area
safety concerns within the Fab and Sub-Fab.
As Area Coordinator / Peer Trainer /Emergency Response Team Member
Planned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, of 32 Endura 5500 200mm
Physical Vapor Deposition/Chemical Vapor Deposition equipment sets,
coordinating a team of 14 maintenance technicians. As ERT member,
responsible for Training, Train the Trainer program for Fabrication
evacuation as well as responding to chemical spills, and injury situations.
