I have been involved in the construction industry for over 25 years. After

completing my Bachelors Degree in Construction from the University of

Florida in 1985, I started my career as a Project Engineer. State of

Florida's General Contractors License in 1989. I have been involved in a

wide range of projects consisting of institutional, industrial, residential

and commercial projects. Received LEED AP certification in 2008.

Central Receiving Facility (1993), Turkey Point Nuclear Power

Plant, FL

Cost: $2,370,000

Size: This 38' high 47,500 SF warehouse is a precast concrete

structure. It was built around an existing slab on

grade by installing a new pile-supported concrete

grade beam around all four sides of the slab and new

column pads at interior column locations. Completed

two weeks ahead of schedule.

Hurricane Andrew Building Repairs (1992), Turkey Point Nuclear

Power Plant, FL

Size: This project included extensive interior and exterior

repairs to storm damaged buildings. Worked closely

with FPL officials to make extensive repairs on eight

buildings within 7 months under strict security as

required by NRC standards.

The New Malcolm House Oceanfront Resort (1991), Hillsboro Beach,

FL

Owner: The Hillsboro Club, Inc.

Cost: $3,460,000

Size: Demolished an existing 3-story structure and built new 3-

story building containing 46 guest rooms, staff

offices, main lobby, library and basement. Opened on

time for Thanksgiving holiday guests who reserved

their room's months in advance.

North Broward Resource Recovery Facility

South Broward Resource Recovery Facility (1990), Ft. Lauderdale,

FL and Pompano Beach, FL

Owner: Broward County

Cost: $2,200,000 (combined)

Size: Whiting-Turner served as a Subcontractor to Rust

Engineering. Scope of work included all

architectural finished and specialty items.

West Pam Beach International Airport (1988), West Palm Beach

International Airport, FL

Size: Tenant fit-up for U.S. Air, Piedmont, United and Braniff

Airlines. Ticket counters and tarmac level support

offices.

Cement Ship Uploader Foundation (1987), Port Everglades, FL

Owner: Continental Cement Company

Size: Careful excavation was necessary to protect approximately

450' of aging seawall and its supporting underground

tie-backs which had to be exposed to install a

massive concrete foundation for the heavy cement

unloaded equipment.

Simulator Training Facility (1986) St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant

Cost: $3,350,000

Size: A multi-purpose 2-story building including classrooms,

offices, computer room and an exact replica of an

actual on-site nuclear control room used for training

and certifying control room operators.
