Professional Experience
Responsible for leading a lean manufacturing technical team consisting of
twenty-eight Production Technicians, one Tooling Coordinator, two Parts
Procurement Specialist, two Machinist, three Facility Technicians, one
second and one third shift Maintenance Supervisor, and two Compounding
Technicians. The Jonesboro facility currently performs 1262 changeovers
per month for a "just-in-time" in a "lean" environment with Kaizen and 5s
very visible. Compounding areas consist of over 30 mixing vessels with
nitrogen, steam, and chilled water using over 100 pumps and mills.
Packaging operation consist of a mixture all styles of equipment used in
the cosmetic and consumer product industry. Facility equipment consists of
three boilers, four air compressors, to RO water systems, three chillers,
and two cooling towers.
. Coordinate day-to-day facility and production maintenance operations, by
scheduling and planning maintenance activities.
. Startup of a green site facility with new and used equipment, 28
production lines installed and operational within an eighteen month
period. Total production lines installed will be 35 by end of phase four.
. Installed and setup a Computerized Maintenance Management System to
ensure all production, compounding and facility equipment reliability is
maintained.
. Trained new employees on tube fillers, complete packaging/bottling lines,
pouch fillers, and various other equipment used to package finished goods.
. Worked with corporate engineering to help design and startup over 30
mixing tanks with semi-automated bulk feeding of raw materials, while
providing maintenance support and training to Compounders.
. Started up a new alcohol compounding area and three alcohol bottling
lines.
. Implemented continuous improvement projects to increase equipment
reliability.
. Mentor a team of technicians and other professionals to help develop and
train over seventy Machine Specialist (Operators).
. Provide technical support and write protocols for OTC validations to be
FDA compliant for mixing tanks and production lines.

. New Product Launches: Our team was responsible for the launch of the

. Safety: work with all personnel within the plant to achieve "Best in
Safety", zero accident rate and the VPP Star status award with OSHA.
