In 1986 the grant established Baltimore Mental Health Systems, Inc. (BMHS),
as the local mental health authority for Baltimore City. BMHS is a public
nonprofit entity, which maintains accountability to government. BMHS' focus
has been on expanding the range of services, improving continuity of care,
developing new affordable housing opportunities, creating new financing
initiatives, and promoting community acceptance and public education.
* Maintain all business related vendor relationships -
Collected bids from outside vendors for Baltimore City
Procurement process as well as reported problems with
copiers and IT equipment to vendors
* Emergency Management - Involved in making sure the
agency could continue in an emergency situation
* Human Resources - Performed all aspects of HR including
maintaining personnel files, employee relations, placed
ads on various websites and through The Sun paper
* Job Descriptions Review - All Job Descriptions were
recently rewritten
* Benefits Administration - Worked with Agent, State of
Maryland as well as employees to maintain benefit
accuracy
* Work with Temporary Agencies to fill open positions

added, terminated and changed as needed for all
