BIOGRAPHY:
Aviation hydraulic service technician - Completed over 9400 maintenance actions with no
rework. Other duties included day-to-day flight operations as final checker/slot checker,
servicing and repair any complex problems that may arise during flight operations such as:
flight control failures, flight control rigging, hydraulic leakage, removal and installation of
servos, actuating cylinders, selector valves, sequence valves, brakes, tires and wheels.
Performed over 3000 phase inspections in accordance with maintenance instruction manuals
using proper procedures and tools. Manufactured, supervised, inspected, painted, and heat
treated for over 8000 sheet metal fabrication jobs with no rework. Fabricated, modified,
repaired, assembled, and installed sheet metal parts, such as lap patches, flush patches, flush
patches over internal structures, skin replacement, spars, ribs, panels, seat pans, intakes,
exhaust pipes and emergency escape hatches for P-3 's, and F/A 18 Hornets. Methods such
as cutting, layout procedures, bend allowances, forging, press operations, slip roll forming,
crimp rolls, burring rolls, stamping, riveting procedures, and using descriptive geometry and
principles of triangulation, parallel and radial line development to lay out materials and
blueprint designs. Tools included: ball been hammers, mallets, rotary rivet cutters, bucking
bars, hole finders, skin fasteners, countersinks, snips, hydraulic and manual shears, rivet
head shavers, pneumatic riveters, rivet guns, and squeeze riveters. Portable drills, pneumatic
drills, angle drive drills, dimple countersinking tools, vises, cornice brake, bar folder, box
and pan brake, slip roll forming machine, stakes and stake plates punches and chisels. Foot
pound and inch pound torque wrenches, various sockets and wrenches, screw drivers, brake
bleed equipment, nitrogen carts, power carts, A/M27T-5 and -7 Portable Hydraulic power
carts, jacks and jack stands, and various lifts.
OBJECTIVES:
Short term goals: Work in sheet metal field or Aviation mechanic, get as many qualifications
as I can such as A&P license, and finish my Bachelor degree in Professional Aeronautics.
Long term goals: I would like to work in safety or Quality Assurance field.
