P & L Partners is a boutique consulting and software development firm

specializing in business intelligence and knowledge management solutions

for the financial services and healthcare communities.

Designed a Taxonomy/Ontology for New York Life Insurance to cover all

lines of business using the Unicorn Workbench.

Developed a data model using ER/Studio for the ITIL process for the data

centers at New York Life Insurance.

Customized the Oracle Financials data model for implementation at McKinsey

and Company.

Developed the data architecture using ER/Studio and SQL database for

semantic, content management system to aid in the training and performance

improvement of physicians. This was in collaboration with academic

physicians and researchers at Montefiore Medical Center and Mount Sinai

Hospital School of Medicine at Clinical Focus.

Created the data architecture in ER/Studio for a revolutionary home-based

around structured and unstructured information.

In 1999 Hummingbird acquired Context Inc., of which Ms. Laver was co-

founder and CTO. The Context products and team became the foundation of the

Analytic Applications Division.

Managed an engagement with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) to

customize Financial Frameworks for their Global Credit Risk Management

department.

Lead architect and manager for the expansion of Financial Frameworks to

include Market and Operational risk management.

Lead architect and manager for a data warehouse to support the TL-9000

quality standards in the telecommunications industry.

Lead architect for data models and databases to aid Quest Diagnostics in

recovering payments for orphan invoices. Designed fuzzy logic algorithms

Context, Inc. was a boutique consulting and software development firm that

specialized in risk management, profitability reporting and portfolio

management applications for the financial services industry.

Led the effort to design and develop Financial Frameworks, a "data

warehouse in-a-box" for the financial services industry integrated with an

Internet based front end, incorporating a robust packaged set of data

models, ETL logic and code, OLAP cubes and queries and reports. Business

functions supported included risk management, profitability analysis and

customer analysis and management. In 1999 Context was acquired by

Hummingbird Ltd.

1992

Bachman Information Systems was founded by Charlie Bachman in 1986 to

develop and market a complete line of integrated data and database modeling

tools. IBM held an equity position in Bachman which was a prominent player

in the introduction and development of their Data Warehousing initiative.

It was a $30M organization that merged with Cadre to form Cayenne Software

in 1996. It was subsequently purchased by CA and merged with ERWin to

create the current generation of the tool set.

Joined Charlie Bachman when he left Cullinet to pursue the development of

more sophisticated data modeling techniques in a software tool that would

provide expert systems technology to improve and elevate the ultimate

design of databases to meet both business and technical requirements.

Developed product requirements for multiple releases of the Bachman Data

Analyst, DB2 DBA, and IDMS DBA.

Developed product requirements with Chris Gane and Trish Sarson, for an

integrated process modeling tool to complete the marriage of data and the

use of data to support business requirements specification.

Developed and led training sessions in Entity Relationship Data Modeling,

the Bachman Methodology, and tool mechanics for Bachman customers and IBM

consulting staff members.
